Escape to sustainable luxury at our eco-glamping retreat in San Ambrosio, 7min from the stunning beaches of Caños de Meca on the Costa de la Luz. Set within a protected pine forest, our boutique site offers authentic bell tent accommodation for couples and adult travelers seeking to disconnect from the digital world and reconnect with Andalusia's natural beauty. From enjoying our organic garden to stargazing from your private deck, conscious travel and sustainable living meet Andalusian charm.

The space
Stone Pines is a boutique eco-glamping retreat offering an idyllic escape for nature lovers seeking tranquility in the charming rural community of San Ambrosio, Andalusia.

Our four spacious canvas bell tents blend rustic charm with modern comfort - three feature comfortable double beds while one offers two individual beds, ideal for you and friends. Each tent includes its own private composting toilet and intimate deck with café table and chairs - wonderful for morning coffee accompanied by birdsong from the surrounding pine forest.

For guests preferring traditional accommodation, we also offer a cozy apartment with double bed and sofa bed.

Unique Features:
Handcrafted outdoor showers built by local artisans create a tropical paradise experience
Fully equipped communal kitchen for meal preparation and beach picnic packing
Natural swimming pool nestled at the property's highest point, offering respite from Andalusia's summer heat
Dedicated yoga deck beside the pool, sheltered by ancient pine canopy (local instructor available for private or group sessions)

Step directly into La Breña National Park's protected landscape, offering endless opportunities for nature immersion: forest hiking, trail running, mountain biking, seasonal mushroom foraging, and horseback riding. The park extends to dramatic coastal cliffs where you can witness both sunrise over the Mediterranean influence and sunset over the Atlantic.

Beach lovers will discover diverse coastal experiences within minutes - from Caños de Meca's dramatic cliffs and natural coves to Conil's expansive sandy shores perfect for long romantic walks and peaceful relaxation.

Guest access
Explore nearly an acre of terraced Andalusian landscape with breathtaking views over the protected pine forest. Our organic vegetable garden invites you to harvest seasonal produce - perhaps fresh tomatoes, ripe papayas, or fallen passion fruits to enhance your breakfast.

The experience balances private sanctuary with gentle community. While showers, pool, kitchen, and dining areas offer opportunities to connect with fellow travelers, each bell tent serves as your personal retreat. Your private composting toilet reflects our environmental commitment without compromising comfort.

-7 minutes to Caños de Meca: Wild beaches, chiringuitos, world-class surfing and windsurfing

-10 minutes to Vejer de la Frontera: Ancient clifftop Moorish town, UNESCO heritage site
-5-minute walk to local ventas: Traditional taverns serving authentic Andalusian cuisine and wood-fired pizzas

Where you’ll be

Barbate, Cádiz, Spain

Stone Pines Homestead is situated in San Ambrosio, a small village spread along an old cattle road, 10 minutes' drive from Barbate town, set right on the edge of La Breña protected National Park and 3Km from the cliffs overlooking the Atlantic, and Morocco on a clear day!

San Ambrosio boasts two "Ventas" (restaurant/bars), both a five minute walk from the property, that serve a selection of local dishes, as well as thin crust pizzas!

We are more or less equidistant (10 min drive) from Barbate (working port) and Vejer de la Frontera (clifftop white town) and about 7 mins from Caños de Meca, an alternative (once hippie) hangout with its beautiful beaches and numerous restaurants and bars, in the shadow of the Trafalgar Lighthouse!

The location is perfect for exploring the area, really well connected but tucked away from the hustle and bustle in the busy summer months!
