Independent private guest space with a wood-burning fireplace in a mountain boutique guesthouse.
The space offers privacy and comfort, with a private equipped kitchen. It can be booked on its own or combined with additional private rooms when travelling with more people, with the price adjusting accordingly.
Guests have access to shared outdoor spaces, including gardens, patio, BBQ area, and a warm outdoor bathtub.
The space
Stone Oven House is a small mountain guesthouse that combines a cultural art residence with a limited number of carefully designed guest rooms.
When booking the space for up to six guests, the entire house is reserved for your exclusive use. This house is part of the wider Stone Oven House residence, which includes several buildings on the property. During your stay, the house itself will be entirely private and used only by you. We live in a separate nearby building.
The house is prepared with a level of comfort and attention typical of a boutique guesthouse. Each room has its own private bathroom, and the house includes a separate, fully equipped kitchen and all essential details needed for a comfortable family or group stay.
Inside, you will find a double-sided fireplace opening onto both the bedroom and the living area, a projector with Netflix, and a fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove, cookware, coffee machine, electric kettle, and dishwasher. A laundry area with a washing machine, dryer, and electric drying rack is also available. Balconies are equipped with practical drying racks.
When booking for up to six guests, the lower technical floor is not included and remains unused during your stay. If needed and subject to availability, this floor can be opened and prepared with additional beds upon request, for an extra fee.
Additional bed linen, towels, and bathrobes are provided when needed. We have taken care of the small details to make group or family stays easy and comfortable.
Guest access
Guests have access to a wide range of shared indoor and outdoor spaces across the property.
Sauna and outdoor bath
All guests have access to a warm outdoor bathtub. This is not a jacuzzi and not a hydromassage bath. It is a simple outdoor bathtub that can be filled with hot water and enjoyed with a view of the forest, intended for calm relaxation in a natural setting.
A wood-fired sauna is located on the property and is shown in the photos. Use of the sauna is not included in the room price. It is available to guests who choose to join the Stone Oven House cultural association. Membership is valid for the entire calendar year, takes only a short time to arrange, and also provides access to other cultural activities and events at the art residency.
Outdoor areas and nature
Guests are welcome to enjoy:
– gardens, terraces, balconies, and outdoor seating areas
– forest paths and open fields with panoramic views
– a garden with berries and fruit, which guests may enjoy depending on the season
– BBQ area on the terrace
There are also children’s play areas with sand and toys, suitable for younger guests.
Common indoor spaces
Guests have access to:
– a shared kitchen and an outdoor kitchen
– an open loft and common areas
– many quiet and cosy corners suitable for reading, working, or relaxing
The property also features an old stone oven. From time to time, we light it to bake pizza, bread, or other dishes. If you are interested, please let us know in advance. This depends on timing and is not a daily activity.
Shared spaces are informal and flexible. Guests are free to socialize or enjoy privacy at their own pace.
Other things to note
Stone Oven House has a variable rhythm throughout the year.
At certain times, we host cultural events, workshops, or gatherings, and the house can be more lively, with more people and visiting artists. At other times, there are no events, and the atmosphere is very quiet, with only a few people on the property.
Guests are welcome to check our event schedule in advance and plan their stay accordingly — either to visit during a more active period or to choose quieter dates for maximum calm and isolation. Both experiences are possible here.
We guarantee that rooms are clean, comfortable, and carefully prepared for each guest. At the same time, the areas around the house are part of a living place and an evolving art residence. From time to time, you may notice restoration, maintenance, or creative work as part of an ongoing process.
The surroundings reflect the atmosphere of a mountain village rather than a perfectly manicured resort.
This is a rural mountain environment and an active village, where everyday life, nature, and seasonal changes are part of the experience.
Public transport is limited. A car can be convenient, but it is not strictly necessary. We can help with organizing transfers if needed.
