A short staircase leads to a private, grassy launch point. Swim in crystal clear water, take a float and land right back at the property, or arrange a trip with local outfitters. This specific bend of the river is a highly productive fishing location—cast or wade directly from the bank for wild trout, shad, walleye, and muskie.

Guest access
Guests have access to the whole property, consisting of wide open lawn, fire pit, pond, and over 250 ft of prime riverfront with a wide grassy beach area. Guests may use all cooking supplies, utensils, and complementary coffee pods. The visitor’s guide includes a handy property map and top places to visit nearby.
Off limits areas:
Boats that may be parked on the property are not for use by guests. We will happily refer you to local outfitters to arrange canoeing, kayaking, tubing, and shuttle service.
Campsites at Stockport Landing:
A few nature friendly campsites are located on the acreage uphill of the pond. Campers use their own separate river access point and do not approach the river house. River house guests may book campsites for visiting family and friends at discounted rates (please ask for promo code).

How many does the house comfortably sleep?
Upper level: Beds to sleep up to 7 guests (designed for comfort of 4 adults + 3 kids or guests in bunks).
Lower level: Seasonal (May-November) sleeps 3 to 5 guests (twin-over-full bunk bedroom), plus available queen inflatable airbed in rec room). Lower level kitchenette and lower level full bath are winterized Dec-April.
Tent platform: The riverside tent platform is a great place for adventurers to camp out, practice Yoga, or work out.
*Rental Agreement and House Rules*
Airbnb requires we let you know in advance that we ask guests to e-sign a standard rental agreement. It covers common sense rules and safety. You'll receive a link the week before you arrive.
Actual terms include:
- No fireworks, no smoking indoors
- No undisclosed pets or extra guests
- No groups of unrelated guests under age 25
- No photo shoots or commercial events without prior written approval.
- Transparent and reasonable fees for damage and additional cleaning e.g. no smoking indoors, no pets on furniture
- Follow instructions for garbage and recycling
- “Do Not Flush” anything but natural waste and toilet paper to keep septic system happy
- Waiver of liability
- Report damage or equipment issues immediately and don’t try to conceal or fix damage
- Water safety: The property is on the river and has a pond. Enter river at your own risk and be prepared for strong currents, drop-offs, cold water, etc.
- Life vests (PFDs) are provided and are required for swimmers and paddlers of all abilities whenever you are in or around the water.
- Careful supervision of children & pets especially around water, bunk beds, fire pit, etc.
