StarryPines Cottage is a 1920s resort bungalow that has been brought back to life.

The house features reclaimed wood pieces and local furniture finds alongside mid century modern touches that give it a unique and stylish appearance.

The cottage sits on a scenic property at the gateway to the Catskills. Natural Beauty and amenities make this a perfect retreat.

Our family including a sweet lab mix live on property across the drive and share the greater yard.

Dogs are welcome on approval.

The space
The location is fantastic, whether you are looking to ski (just 11 miles to Hunter Mountain,) explore shops and restaurants or breweries or go hiking and swimming. Palenville is at the cross section of Woodstock, Saugerties, Catskill & Tannersville and just 15-20 mins to anything you could want, plus! Some hyper local spots such as the Circle W, Rip and Wolf Wine & Spirits, and Idler Books are giving Palenville its own vibe and charm.

You will have full private use of the entire cottage/guest house which is equipped with bathroom, kitchen, and two bedrooms. You will also have private access to your own patio, fire pit and BBQ.

A planter box overflowing with herbs sits outside the cottage and butcher block counters make this the perfect retreat for a home chef.

The outdoor sauna is shared with host but renters are given priority and we are respectful of your space and privacy.

The greater yard, sun deck and walkways that run through the property are open to explore and meander through, please enjoy, and clean up after your pets if they are with you. Can’t wait to have you enjoy this beautiful and peaceful property!

It’s a 15-20 minute drive to anywhere you want to explore. 20 minutes to Hunter Mountain door to door. 15 minutes to Saugerties and Catskill Villages, which have a plethora of cool shops and restaurants. 20 minutes to Woodstock, North Lake, and Kaaterskill Falls.

Our neighborhood also offers a number of great views and overlooks with waterfalls. There’s a hiking trail just down the road, an awesome swimming hole and farm fresh eggs for sale seasonally.

The town of Catskill boasts 3 breweries, a cidery and a distillery if craft liquor is your thing.
