Neighborhood highlights

Close to the Stables is our quaint village inn owned and run by us. With pool table and dartboard. We open evenings only and do not serve food but there are plenty of excellent eating pubs & restaurant's close by . The village is extremely quiet with around 20 scattered houses set in a magnificent backdrop of mountain scenery and surrounded by nature. It is common to see red kites and Deer from the cottage. There is a lot of history here with the ruins of a Cistercian Monastery which are available to visit, built in 1183 (with information Centre) and the grave of Prince Llewellyn (the last native Welsh prince). Also our pretty village church is open daily. Abbey Cwm Hir translates as Abbey in the long valley and is an extremely remote village, typical of locations chosen by the Cistercians.
