Peace and quiet
This home is in a quiet area.
At-home coffee
Start your morning right with the espresso machine.
Cradled in the foothills of the Hoddle Ranges, South Gippsland, The Snug is a lovingly restored 1985 Isuzu school bus offering a cosy country escape with character and charm. Set on a peaceful rural property with horses and open countryside, it’s the perfect base to explore Wilsons Prom, nearby beaches, Fish Creek and Foster, then return to your own warm retreat at day’s end. If you love unique stays over standard motel rooms, The Snug may be just your kind of place.
The space
It’s all about the 80s, baby.
The Snug is a converted 1985 Isuzu school bus, thoughtfully restored into a warm, comfortable and memorable tiny stay.
Compact, cosy and full of charm, it offers everything you need for a relaxed getaway after a day exploring South Gippsland. Spend your days visiting beaches, wineries, walking trails and Wilsons Prom, then come home to curl up, recharge and do it all again tomorrow.
Positioned to take in views of the surrounding hills and our beautiful horses, many guests say the setting is one of their favourite parts of staying here.
The Great Southern Rail Trail is just beyond our front gate, offering over 70kms of bike, hike and horse-riding trail from Nyora to Port Welshpool.
You may also like to explore our other listing, The Haven, if you are travelling with friends or looking for a different style of stay.
Guest access
The Snug has its own private entrance before the main entrance to our property, making arrival simple and convenient.
There is plenty of room to park a car, boat or horse float.
Please note that as this is a converted bus, access includes larger steps and a narrower doorway than a standard home. Guests with mobility concerns, hip or knee issues may find access challenging.
The Snug is positioned toward the front of the property, with easy parking nearby and lovely views across the surrounding countryside.
Other things to note
Please note that The Snug is located on a peaceful rural property with animals, including horses.
Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement, however:
• Dogs must not be left unattended in the bus unless discussed and approved in advance
• Dogs must remain under control and not roam freely around the property
• Guests are responsible for any damage or incidents involving their pet
This is for the safety of our horses, other animals, your dog and the property itself.
As part of a rural stay, you may see wildlife, hear animals, and experience the natural rhythms of country life.
We also have another listing, The Haven, on the same property if you’re travelling with friends or would like to explore other options.
