☀️ 2 sets of steps leading into the river to the rocks and sanbar
☀️ Private, long gravel driveway, best for a truck or suv, but plenty cars drive down just fine. Parking is also available up top at the vineyard . 5 minute walk to river cabin.

If you are looking for a calm relaxing float the South Fork Broad river is for you.
This section of the river provides the ideal setting for a private relaxing excursion, a swim or some fishing.
Paddle at your own pace and uncover the hidden treasures of the riverbanks.
The South Fork is rain fed and one of Georgia's last free flowing rivers .
The river changes throughout the year meaning each time you float will be a little different than the time before. Its always an adventure !
***we've been experiencing a drought in our area****and the water level is currently too low to float on this section of the South Fork Broad River.
If you're hoping to get out and paddle, Broad River Outpost is about 20 minutes away on a slightly deeper section of the river. They are still allowing people to float, and I would recommend their upper section when water levels are this low.
Many of our guests are still enjoying the river by wading in front of the cabin, setting up chairs on the sandbar and rocks, relaxing by the water, and fishing.
If kayaking isn't a priority, there's still plenty to enjoy along the river during your stay. 😊🏞️🎣

Guest access
☀️The river cabin has its own private gravel driveway. Please drive slow on the long gravel road that leads down to the river and the cabin. Best for trucks or Suv , but cars make it down just fine too. Also, try to make it in before dark, there are no street lights along the driveway. We have a few solar lights marking the driveway.
Parking is also available along the Vineyard, if you prefer to park up top. 5 minute walk to the river cabin.

🐾 DOGS🐾
You’re welcome to bring one small, well-behaved dog under 50 lbs.( $50 pet fee ) We just ask a few simple things to keep the space comfortable for everyone:
• Please do not allow your dog to chase the goats, chickens, or horse in the pasture behind the cabin
☀️Please let me know you are bringing a dog so I can put sofa cover on ☀️
• Please do not leave your dog unattended at the property
• All dogs must be fully house-trained
• No pets in the loft or on the bed (the stairs can be unsafe for them)
Dogs love the river, but please keep in mind the river banks can get muddy. The outdoor shower is a great spot to rinse them off before heading back inside the cabin. We’ve also left a towel by the door to help keep things clean.
• Please clean up after your dog around the property
• Any signs of damage or stains caused by a pet may result in an additional cleaning fee.
If your pup is used to traveling and respectful of the space, they’ll love it here! Let me know if you have any questions

☀️Please know that we are located in the country by a river. We use a pest control service in and around the home , but you are still likely to see a few insects or other living beings from Mother Nature. We ask that you do your best to keep outside doors closed when not actively walking through to help prevent any bugs from getting inside.

☀️ADULTS ONLY
The cabin is not child friendly for safety reasons. Please be aware of the following hazards:
- Unfenced yard with direct access to steep river banks, and acres of dense woods .
- An open loft with a wire railing.
- Porch with wire railing .
- A narrow steep staircase that does not have a baby gate.
-Furniture that is not mounted to the wall and may tip over (Tv).

Other things to note
☀️ Grab food /provisions before arriving!

☀️ Steep stairs going up to the loft

☀️ Uber does not usually pick up from the river cabin .

☀️Please let me know if you are bringing a small dog☀️so I can put a sofa cover on☀️

☀️ The cabin has a tin roof, so during heavy rain or thunderstorms you’ll hear the relaxing sound of rain overhead. Most guests love the cozy ambiance, but light sleepers may want to bring earplugs during stormy weather.
