Stand alone top of the world pool house right by Camp Pendleton. Enjoy the best unobstructed views of north San Diego county from your 600sf pool house and its two 8’x12’ corner window sliders. The pool house is the premier spot on this one-of-a-kind property. Its new, private, equipped, has high vaulted ceilings and is the jewel of the Sanctuary.
A 1200sf endless view observation deck, saltwater pool and spa with lounging areas, Lynx BBQ, smoker and dining area are right outside your door.
The space
Resort style living with views to die for. The perfect place for visiting family or friends on Camp Pendleton or the surrounding towns of Fallbrook, Carlsbad, Oceanside, vista and Bonsall. This private, stand alone pool house has one bedroom, large living, equipped kitchen and dining area with 8’ interior doors and 8’ windows all around. The house can be closed off from the outside world with full length privacy curtains and blinds or opened up to endless views towards the San Gabriel, San Jacinto and Palomar mountains. Right outside your doors is the pool area with saltwater pool and spa surrounded by the travertine pool deck. Just above the pool area is the 1200sf observation deck with Adirondack chairs, teak table, and benches. Have a coffee here at sunrise or a drink at sunset and you cannot be disappointed. It’s the type of view and place you’ll remember forever.
Further along the property you’ll find gardens and orchard pathways. We have 50 fruit trees of various types with something always in season. We do our best to leave a taste of the property in your accommodation on arrival and welcome you to pick more for enjoying while here. If you want to know what’s good or how to pick anything just ask.
The water here is fine for drinking but as an added benefit we provide Carlsbad’s high (9.1) alkaline natural spring water for your enjoyment. This is a beautifully clean and clear tasting water with a natural alkalinity of 9.1. It’s our favorite and we love sharing it with guests.
Guest access
Guests will have a dedicated parking spot right outside the pool house door. Additional parking for more than one car is available at the lower lot a minute walk away. Guests will find keys inside the unlocked unit on arrival and can leave keys in the same spot when they leave.
Other things to note

Parking
The pool house is near the top of the paved driveway on the left-hand side.
• Best Practice: Pull past the gravel parking spot and back down into it, or turn around at the garage on top of the hill and nose in to the spot
• Please try to park your vehicle off the paved driveway so other vehicles can pass easily.
Exiting the Property
• To leave, pull up to the top of the hill to turn around, and exit down the paved driveway.
House Rules
1. No smoking or vaping inside the pool house.
2. No glassware near the pool for safety.
3. The pool, spa, and deck area are shared spaces. Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m.
4. Pets are allowed ONLY with prior approval. This includes all service animals. We do have a dog on the property and need to know if another animal will be around.
Pool Guidelines
Hours of Use: 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. It’s a shared space open to both Airbnb units, so hours of use are to be respected. The pool is not heated but is naturally around 80 in the summer, 70 on shoulder months and 60 all winter long.
Safety Rules:
• Swim at your own risk; no lifeguard on duty.
• Children must be supervised at all times.
• No running, diving, or rough play.
Equipment Use:
• Lights and spa can be used upon request.
• The spa heater is powered by propane and takes around 30 minutes to heat up in summer and 1 hour in winter. After it heats up to 100 degrees, we turn off the heater and the spa stays hot for around 2 hours. Please request when ready and let us know when you’re done.
• Pool towels are located in your bathroom.
Amenities & Appliances
Kitchenette:
• Two-burner electric stovetop and micro/oven combo.
• The kitchen is equipped with all utensils you should need, but if you have a special request, just hit us up.
BBQ Grill: the grill is a propane unit, please do not attempt to light any other type of fuel in the grill. Propane should be on, if not it is under the right side of the grill and can be turned on for use. Please use the provided bbq lighter to light under ceramic briquettes when turning knob, automatic ignition is not functioning.
Let heat up for about 10 minutes and unless you’re cooking a lot of food you’ll probably only need one burner. Some utensils are under the right side of the bbq. After cooking please do your best to clean up while things are hot and please make sure EVERYTHING IS TURNED OFF.
Air Conditioning/Heating:
• Use the wall-mounted controller to adjust settings with the up and down arrows.
• Please do not leave the heat or A/C running with windows or doors open. Thank you!
• Please turn A/C heater unit off when leaving the pool house for a long period of time and at checkout.
