Welcome to Snowcake Cottage, our luxurious wooden cottage with great amenities and a unique view of Lake Gålå and the Jotunheimen Mountains. Here you will find a sauna, hot tub and freestanding bathtub, as well as everything your heart desires! Linens and towels, shampoo and shower gel are also included. Only the used wood should be replenished at the end of the vacation.
The space
Snowcake Cottage was built in 2023 and is said to be a place of joy and relaxation. A place where you can feel like home, even when you're on the way. With the 3 cozy bedrooms and the 2 modern bathrooms, Snowcake Cottage offers enough space for 6 adults or also 2 families with 2-3 children. If you need more sleeping options, the gallery can also be used as a fourth bedroom.
Pets are also welcome, because we know that a holiday can never be perfect without our four-legged friend.
The house offers 2 comfortable bathrooms each with a spacious washbasin and a rain shower in an enclosed wet room with glass doors. In addition, the main bathroom offers a large freestanding bathtub as well as a large window to the terrace, which can be opened completely.
Outside, the cottage offers a great wood-fired hot tub as well as a stylish traditional Scandinavian barrel sauna for a unique stylish vacation experience.
The fire in the living room creates romantic atmosphere and warmth on cold days. Against cold feet, Snowcake Cottage offers additional underfloor heating in all bathrooms, in the entrance area as well as in the living area and kitchen.

The fully equipped kitchen is perfect for cooking with your friends or family. You will also find a coffee machine, a fully automatic coffee machine, multifunctional oven with microwave and steam function, 80 cm induction hob, a comprehensive set of cutlery, tasteful dishes, glasses and much more. The large fridge with freezer offers plenty of storage space for the whole family.
The large sofa in the living area is perfect for switching off and relaxing with a great movie on the 55" LCD TV or to enjoy the landscape and sunset over the mountains and the lake.
Snowcake Cottage offers you free WiFi and the possibility to wash and dry laundry in the washer-dryer. Also, bed linen, towels, shower gel and shampoo are already included in the price. The light is based on Philips Hue which creates a great atmosphere in the evening or watching the film. In addition to many great opportunities for an outdoor adventure, you can also start your ski tour directly behind the front door. The trail runs right behind and next to the house and is even illuminated!

In the kitchen and living room, there is an Alexa for playing music via Amazon Music and other services. The microphones can be turned off on request and the camera of the Echo Show can be hidden. We give our guests access to this fermentation, so they can also be completely turned off on their own. We want to make sure our guests can be sure that video or audio recordings of living spaces can never be made at any time. Details can also be found in our house rules.

We work with Truvi as our insurance company and use their ID verification services. To do this, another free registration is requested after booking. This is to ensure that we comply with current short-term rental regulations and provide additional protection to both our guests and our accommodations. Truvi will contact you via email and/or text to complete the verification. Details will be sent after booking.
