As soon as you take the turn from the main road you feel like entering a whole new world just for yourself. You pass little lakes until it appears after two kilometers: our little red house, nestled in the woods on a big and bright clearing.

It's the perfect oasis for people searching for a wild nature experience without any neighbors.

The space
With this house we share our second home with you. It's a lifelong dream that came true, and it means the world to us.

It's the right place for people who enjoy wild and true nature. Who wanna be for themselves and hear and see nothing but the forest. Without an indoor bathroom and with chimneys as the only heating source, life at Småland Hideaway is pretty simple. Our luxury is its location in the middle of the woods.

The boundaries between inside and outside are blurring, that's what we love most while living at Småland Hideway.

There still is a bit of comfort, though: There is a fully equipped kitchen (minus an oven), a cozy living room with a fireplace, the main bedroom (also with a fireplace), and another sleeping area next to the hallway. There is NO bathroom inside the house. That means, that you are taking outside showers with a feeling of the jungle or with thousands of stars above you. When it's raining the hot water is the best feeling ever.
That also means that you need to go outside in the garden to the little extra building, where our incineration toilet is located.

During summer the days are long and the nights are bright. During spring and autumn, it's often cold during the nights and the sky will become pitch dark. With as many stars as you can get.

We love to live that close to nature and we hope you do too :-) When you are sending your inquiry, please let us know that you understood that it's a rather simple living at Småland Hideaway – also please confirm that you read and understood the housing guidelines.

We won't be close while you are staying at Småland Hideaway. I am always happy to help via phone and messages, in case you need a little more than that we have a very friendly neighbor that is taking care of your needs.

ps: neighbor in our case means, that they are living around 15 kilometers away. But they will be there for you.

The Check-in you will do on your own with a key locker. That gives you the most possible flexibility.

Other things to note
For you to enjoy the place and its surroundings as much as possible we are happy to provide firewood, a fire bowl (not to use during dry season) an a bbq.

There is also a sauna in an extra building in the garden. And a little lake you reach by making your way through the forest behind the sauna. Its around 250 meters down to the water, but the shore is as wild as all the surroundings. You can take nice and long swims, but there is not really a place for sunbathing or relaxing. Except on the water, of course :-)
