Situated in the beautiful Waternish peninsula with views to the Outer Hebrides, No. 6 is fantastic for sunsets and scenery. Lots of local walks on your doorstep. Within walking distance of the beach. Renovated and refurbished to a high standard, No. 6 is exceptionally well equipped with a focus on quality and comfort. We've not thought of everything - but we have tried! An ideal space for grown ups to relax, unwind and enjoy. Sorry - no children...

The space
No. 6 was built by the current owner’s grandfather. It is a traditional croft house which has been lovingly restored and renovated to an exceptionally high standard. It is all on one level. Bedroom 1 has a superking bed (extra long) and Bedroom 2 has a double bed with a king size duvet so nobody needs to fight for their share ! Hypoallergenic duvets and pillows on both beds, but a goose and duck down pillow is provided for each room just in case that's what you prefer. Large double shower with cascade head and secondary hand-held head. Comfort height wc. Spacious Living and Dining area with solid wood floor. Three seater and two seater sofas. Large dining table. Smaller breakfast table for 2. Wall mounted Smart TV. Alexa in each room. Modern kitchen with solid oak worktops. All the usual appliances and everything you need to release your inner Mary Berry. There are lots of little extras throughout and we are not far away if you need anything. No. 6 is not just a holiday house, it's a holiday home. There was always a warm welcome to old friends and new and we hope to keep up that family tradition.

Guest access
You have the whole house which comprises two bedrooms (superking to rear, double to front) well equipped kitchen, living/dining room and shower room. There is an area to the rear which has a pergola and a custom built barbecue. To the front there is a paved patio area surrounded by a low stone wall. A picnic table is situated here. The lawn area to the front is fully fenced. The lawn is artificial grass and it is suitable for dogs. To the side of the property there is a spacious lockable shed with storage for outdoor gear, bikes etc.

Other things to note
There are lots of “little extras” at No. 6. Plenty of toilet rolls, dishwasher tablets, washing pods, tea, coffee, sugar, coffee machine, toiletries, picnic supplies, barbecue supplies …. We haven’t thought of everything, but we’ve tried to !

Neighborhood highlights

No. 6 is located on a working croft. There are sheep, cows and chickens nearby. We have uninterrupted views to the Outer Hebrides and enjoy peace and quiet with sensational sunsets thrown in. We are at the tip of the peninsula so there is not much passing traffic, however there may be an occasional tractor or quad bike which are essential for feeding the animals.

I've lived in Skye for 30 years. I retired a few years ago and love being out and about with my dogs in the local area. We let out my husband's family home - No. 6 - as a luxury self catering property. No. 6 has been a really personal project for me as this is my husband's old family home and it holds a very special place in our hearts. It was always a home filled with warmth and love and we look forward to welcoming old friends and new to the little house that gives you a hug. Sorry, but we are unable to accommodate children at No. 6.
