Shady Grove is a wooded campsite with a beautiful view of the Wet Mountains of the Sangre de Cristo range. Your campsite is on the SW corner of the property and is by far the most private of the 3 camps on the 2 1/2 acre property. You also have use of the Art Forest where previous visitors have left painted birdhouses, painted rocks & other art hidden in the woods.
SkyCamp provides a very clean on site port o potty for guests only.
Your camp host is just a short walk away if needed.

The space
Shady Grove is a partially wooded camp space with a level campsite, shade trees and a great morning view of the sunrise over the mountains. Due to the many old growth trees at your campsite and and ongoing drought in Colorado, traditional campfires are not currently allowed at Shady Grove however there is a firepit stocked with an array of candles for ambiance and light that is quite charming. There are also solar fairy lights in the trees that can be switched off if you prefer to stargaze or dislike the extra light. There's a handmade tree swing under a shady twisted pine in your camp. The Art Forest is through the trees to the East with art supplies for use free of charge to guests and art displays throughout the forest made by previous guests. The Art Forest is shared space with other guests if any are on property at the time of your booking. The Secret Garden is also for guest use also and is where the "double swing tree" is located.

Guest access
You will have Shady Grove to yourself during your stay. The port o potty is located on the North side of the property in the Secret Garden near by the double swing tree and is shared access with other guests if any are present. There is a daisy chain type hanger for bear bags in a tall tree on the NE corner of the property. The Art Forest and some parts of the driveway are shared spaces. SkyCamp is a leave no trace camping experience. There is no trash pick up at this time. I will provide trash cans and trash bags but you must pack out all trash.
All access to property is at your own risk. Use of all property amenities are for use at your own risk. There are swings at every campsite for use at your own risk. By booking you agree to releasing host of all liability. There are dangerous items in the shed such as a rotary push mower with sharp blades, shovels, rakes, candles and other flammables. No person under 18 is allowed access to the shed. Other guests should feel free to use any stocked camp supplies, art supplies, extra candles for your fire pit, first aid items, etc free of charge and of course, at your own risk.

Other things to note
We are 420 friendly at SkyCamp. Unlike many other areas in Colorado, you are absolutely allowed to hang your hammock in the trees at SkyCamp.
Please make yourself at home during your stay.
