Courchevel #53 is a nicely-furnished condo less than 220 yards from Canyon Lodge - about a four minute walk. No need to hassle with parking, just roll out of bed, enjoy a leisurely breakfast, and stroll right to the lifts.

There is a private garage to lock all your stuff and protect your car from the elements. New for 2022: outlet for EV charger - see photos for details.

The space
Cozy living room has fireplace with blower, radiant floor heat, and a desk so you can catch up on work after you hit the slopes. The 60" 4K HD smart TV has Apple TV / Chromecast / Amazon / Hulu / Netflix / etc so you can stream your favorite content right from your device, or choose from about 100 digital cable channels. (This is also true of the 1080p smart TVs in each of the bedrooms.)

The common area has two hot tubs, a sauna, men's and women's showers and changing area, and pay laundry facilities.

You have exclusive access to the private one-car garage which now has a 240 volt 50A outlet for your car charger. You will need to bring your own charge cable for a NEMA 14-50R outlet. (See photos). There is also driveway parking available for a second vehicle.

There are some rental condos in town that are neglected and worn-down, owned by absentee investors. Not this one! I am able to to work remotely, so I come up and use the condo about once a month, and I'm continually improving and upgrading it. Just recently: new dining table and chairs, new kitchen stove, new cookware, new thermostats, new modem and enterprise-quality Ubiquiti networking gear and WiFi access point, new EV charger outlet. I strive to make this a comfortable place to work and play, both for me and for you.

Guest access
You have exclusive access to all ~1060 square feet of the condo and its private one-car garage. There are also pay laundry machines are available in the condo's shared common area. In the summertime there's a swimming pool and BBQ.

The kitchen is well-stocked with a stove and oven, a dishwasher, a full set of pots and pans, baking dishes, coffee machine, blender, toaster and toaster oven, utensils, glassware, basic spices and cooking oils, pizza cutter, ice cream scoop, potato ricer, etc. I come up often to work remotely, so I make sure the place is well-stocked.

The beds have super plush memory foam hotel mattresses, and the two sofa beds are pretty comfortable too - these are not the old rickety fold-outs with wafer thin pads on metal frames and springs.

Other things to note
No pets, no parties, no smoking!

There are lots of stairs, and the main living area is a hard slate floor. I marked this listing as not suitable for children under two out of concerns that a child might fall down the stairs and land on the hard slate flooring.

On the plus side, there are no keys for your kids to lose, and it's a very short walk from Canyon lodge, so it's very easy to come home for lunch and then head back out on the mountain.

Condo is 675 feet from Canyon Lodge, just an easy ~4 minute walk away. The condo has a private garage and you really don't need to drive anywhere if you don't want to. The Village Gondola, shuttle stop (with service until 1:30am daily), and Alpenhof are all a short walk way.

I love to travel and have been to 21 different countries so far. It's so nice to meet people from all around the world. How I became a host: My family used to come up to Mammoth Mountain once or twice every year. It's where I learned to ski, back when a child's T-bar ticket was $7 (good also for Chairs 6 and 11, both of which were fixed-grip slow-moving doubles). Later when I grew into a big boy ticket, learning to side-step up to the old Chair 1 was intimidating! So many great memories. I have a soft spot in my heart for this mountain and I always will. And I'm still learning new things. I always wanted to get a place of my own up here, and that dream became a reality when I purchased this condo in 2017. It had gotten pretty run down was needed a lot of work and TLC. Eight months later, I'm really proud of how it turned out, and I look forward to hosting you in this comfortable mountain getaway.
