The space
Escape and unwind at Silo Gardens, where comfort, creativity, and country charm come together. Nestled in the hilly Hastings countryside, our cozy farmhouse apartments offer the perfect retreat for relaxing and recharging.

Step out the door and into an adventure! Wander through peaceful wooded trails, where the only sounds are the rustling leaves and chirping birds. As you emerge from the trees, explore the rolling farmland, where fresh country air and open skies make you feel a world away from the everyday.

But the real stars of the show? Our friendly, playful goats, always eager for a scratch behind the ears or a snack (they’ll try to convince you they haven’t been fed—don’t believe them!). And if you’re lucky, you’ll catch sight of our majestic peacocks, strutting through the property like they own the place, flashing their dazzling feathers for anyone willing to admire them.

Whether you’re here to unwind, explore, or just make some four-legged friends, our little slice of Michigan countryside is ready to welcome you!

*Our pool is open mid May to September.

Guest access
Guests will have access through a sliding glass door on the south side of the farmhouse.

Other things to note
A Year at the Farm

There’s something magical about time spent at the farm—each season offering its own kind of wonder.

Winter wraps the land in a soft blanket of snow, inviting peaceful walks through the woods and quiet evenings by the fire. Bundle up for a bonfire under the stars, where the crisp air and stillness make the world feel beautifully simple.

With Spring brings the excitement of birthing season! Tiny hooves wobble through the barn as playful baby goats (kids) take their first steps, their curious eyes full of mischief. The orchard begins to bloom, filling the air with the scent of fresh blossoms, while peacocks proudly fan their vibrant feathers. It’s a season of renewal—perfect for a peaceful getaway or a hands-on farm experience.

Summer brings long, golden days and evenings that stretch lazily into night. The pool (open mid-May through September) is the perfect spot to cool off after exploring the trails or wandering through the flower gardens in full bloom. Gather for evening bonfires, grill dinners under the stars, and soak up the season at its peak.

Fall arrives with its own quiet magic—the orchard heavy with harvest, the trees bursting into color, mornings crisp enough for coffee on the porch, and evenings that invite reflection and rest.

No matter the time of year, the farm is a place to slow down, breathe deeply, and discover new treasures in every season.
