The space
There’s something magical about time spent at the farm—each season offering its own kind of wonder.
Winter wraps the land in a soft blanket of snow, inviting peaceful walks through the woods and quiet evenings by the fire. Bundle up for a bonfire under the stars, where the crisp air and stillness make the world feel beautifully simple.
With Spring brings the excitement of birthing season! Tiny hooves wobble through the barn as playful baby goats (kids) take their first steps, their curious eyes full of mischief. The orchard begins to bloom, filling the air with the scent of fresh blossoms, while peacocks proudly fan their vibrant feathers. It’s a season of renewal—perfect for a peaceful getaway or a hands-on farm experience.
Summer brings long, golden days and evenings that stretch lazily into night. The pool (open mid-May through September) is the perfect spot to cool off after exploring the trails or wandering through the flower gardens in full bloom. Gather for evening bonfires, grill dinners under the stars, and soak up the season at its peak.
Fall arrives with its own quiet magic—the orchard heavy with harvest, the trees bursting into color, mornings crisp enough for coffee on the porch, and evenings that invite reflection and rest.
No matter the time of year, the farm is a place to slow down, breathe deeply, and discover new treasures in every season.
Guest access
Guests will have access through a sliding glass door on the south side of the farmhouse.
Please note that there are a small set up stairs that connect the drive to the entrance.
Other things to note
A Year at Silo Gardens
Every season offers something a little different at Silo Gardens.
Winter is quiet and peaceful. Snow covers the fields and woods, making it a great time for a relaxing getaway. Enjoy a walk through the property, warm up by the fire, or gather around an outdoor bonfire on a clear evening.
Spring is one of our favorite times of year. Baby goats are born, the orchard begins to bloom, and the property comes back to life after winter. It’s a wonderful season for guests who enjoy animals, gardening, and the beauty of the countryside.
Summer is perfect for spending time outdoors. The seasonal pool (open mid-May through September), wooded trails, flower gardens, and open spaces make it easy to relax and enjoy the farm. Evenings are ideal for grilling, bonfires, and watching the sunset.
Fall brings cooler temperatures, colorful trees, and harvest season. It’s a beautiful time to enjoy the changing landscape, take a walk through the woods, or simply relax with a cup of coffee on the porch.
No matter when you visit, Silo Gardens offers a chance to slow down, enjoy the outdoors, and experience the simple pleasures of life on a family farm.
NOTE: Our free-range peacocks are one of the farm’s most beloved features. They are beautiful, shy birds that roam the property and shed their spectacular feathers each July. Like roosters, they can be surprisingly vocal—especially in the morning—but we think their beauty and charm more than make up for their distinctive calls.
