The space
Cabin Overview:

Recently remodeled in 2022, this cozy cabin features a beautiful gated 550 sq ft deck, a brand-new kitchen, and a fully updated bathroom. The living room boasts a stone fire surround and a queen sleeper sofa for extra sleeping arrangements. The spacious loft includes a queen futon for additional comfort. Enjoy watching wildlife from the wraparound deck, which also includes a gas grill and patio table.

Adventure & Relaxation:

Enjoy hiking, white-water rafting, rock climbing, mountain biking, horseback riding, fishing, and more! Surrounded by outdoor adventure, the cabin offers endless exploration. After a day of activities, unwind at Durango Hot Springs or relax in the serenity of the San Juan National Forest. Visit the Weminuche Wilderness for scenic hiking trails, explore the cliff dwellings at Mesa Verde National Park, or take a scenic ride on the Silverton train. Downtown Durango is full of shopping and dining options to explore.

Winter Closure:

Please note, the cabin is closed during the winter season. However, it is available for bookings in spring, summer, and fall, offering plenty of opportunities for outdoor adventures.

Wifi works great throughout the cabin! Cell signal is limited—be sure to set your GPS before you go!

Guest access
You will have access to the entire space and property, except for the personal closet in the loft and the shed.

Other things to note
The cabin uses a water tank, and the washer uses the most water, so please be mindful of your water usage during your stay.

Quiet hours are from 8 AM to 8 PM. Please respect the neighbors, who live here year-round, as we are sharing their space.
WiFi works well for working from the cabin.

Please keep in mind that the cabin is remote. Power outages can occur, and the main source of heat is the wood-burning stove (firewood is not provided).

A note about Airbnb:
Airbnb is a wonderful platform that allows hosts to open their homes to guests. This is not a hotel, so please be kind and respectful to the space we share. Remember, this is a cabin in the woods—nothing is perfect, and there’s always something on my to-do list!

PS:
There is a section on the listing that Airbnb added regarding skiing and lakes being only 10 minutes away—this is not accurate.
