Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
Our boutique tiny home is handcrafted with love, just 30 mins drive to Cradle Mountain.

Life's too short to put off those Cradle Mt plans - come stay with us!

Enjoy a leisurely Pinot by the creek & firepit. Marvel at stunning vistas and ever-changing twilight on Mt Roland. Cosy up by the Tiny fire. Wildlife. Starlight. All of the feels. None of the 'roughing it'.

A unique, quintessentially Tassie stay.

The Tiny sits near our home, among rolling hills in the spectacular Valley of Views.

The space
Burrowed in rolling green meadows speckled with black & white Friesians, your Tiny pad awaits.

Everything here is bespoke. From the handmade ceramics to the giant wall canvas and aged-brass artisan tap ware.

All the custom details and thoughtful touches make Shepherd and Sprout a delightful Tiny to stay in:

- Koala mattress
- Sleeping duck pillows
- Delonghi expresso machine for a proper, quality coffee
-Kitchen with quality pots, pans, fridge, freezer
- Canadian Cubic Mini wood heater
- Split system heating / air con
- Bespoke designed fire pit
- NBN fixed WiFi
- Sony smart TV & streaming (but we promise the view will be better)
- Planet Finska games & curated book collection
- Smart oven with airfryer
- 2 beds for travelling friends (please message in advance if you'd like to use the single bed)
- 2 burner barbecue
- Large, private bluestone paved outdoor area, and
Artisan just about everything...

Cook up a delicious meal in the well equipped kitchen.
Relax with a cheeky port at the fire pit under twinkling stars.
Finish the night curled up and cosy by the wood heater gazing out that magnificent picture window at the stillness of it all.

We’re tiny on footprint, but big on hospitality & value:
- Firewood for the fire pit and wood heater
- Pantry provisions, milk, bread & cereals
- Hosts on-site and at the ready to help!

We're small footprint Tiny to protect this precious part of Tassie. You'll find carefully curated organic bath and kitchen products as well as a compost toilet and off-grid water.

Pick your own organic seasonal produce from our 5 veggie garden beds in Summer and Autumn.

Minimal single use plastics help to top off our eco credentials. There’s no green washing here. Just a lotta love to share for wild Tasmania.

Guest access
We're all about easy access. The Tiny is parked on our property where we live in our little cottage. We're located in the community of Wilmot.

Guests have their own entry directly from the main road. No steep gravel roads or hiking with your suitcase here.

Instead, you'll enjoy exclusive access to the large paved outdoor area directly around the Tiny house, as well as a designated parking area.

Other things to note
Shepherd and Sprout Tiny House is parked near our cottage where we live with our friendly Hungarian Vizslas puppies Bailey and Boston. They're super friendly and love hoomans.

The Tiny House is cordoned, screened and private from our home. We're right there if you need help or feel like a chat, or your stay can be as private as you like - it's completely up to you!

Two beds for travelling friends - one queen bed in the loft and another day bed / single bed by the picture window. If you'd like to use the single bed please give us a few days notice!

The Tiny has a compost toilet (no-water system).

We use tank water, but don't worry we've got your drinking water covered. We buy it in.

As the place is surrounded by working dairy farm, please expect bugs, flies and other insects. We have repellant in the Tiny.

Before you arrive:
Please make note of the key code as mobile signal can be patchy in the area.

We're generous on pantry essentials (tea, coffee, sugar, oil and condiments) but please bring food and drinks with you - the nearest grocery shopping is in Devonport (40 mins) and Ulverstone (30 mins). We recommend Hill St in Devonport for a fantastic platter and the best local Tassie produce.

Our listing is not suitable for infants or children due to the delicate nature or furnishings and the small space.

Neighborhood highlights

We're surrounded by native wildlife as well as fun stuff to do and see.

Our Tiny neighbours are sheep and gentle dairy cows - the nosiest creatures on earth. You'll see pademelons at night, the odd echidna waddle by and vibrant birdlife - Blue Wrens, Scarlet Robins, and Kookaburras.

If you're really lucky you might catch a glimpse of the resident platypus splashing in our little creek.

We're 30 minutes to Cradle Mountain and its Tassie devils and Wombats.

We are 3kms to Lake Barrington and wild Wilmot River. There's also two stunning lookouts over the Valley of Views within a 5 minute drive.

If you want beautiful vistas, native wildlife, trails for hiking or walking, kayaking or summer swimming, you'll find it around here!

We're 30 minutes to Leven Canyon and Penguin viewing at Lillico.

In 40 minutes of relaxing country driving you'll find two of Tassie's great wineries, 2 gin distilleries, 4 craft breweries (1 cider) and a bunch of cute cafes.

Wilmot has a small local country store with some provisions and petrol available. Open during the week.
