Unwind in Selkie Suite, where comfort meets heritage. This cozy coastal escape is nestled in the heart of a quaint fishing town. On the aptly named Garden St, this property was once owned by award-winning Scottish botanist George Fraser.
The suite's theme was inspired by resident harbour seals, the host's celtic heritage and Fraser's legacy.
It's the perfect home-base for hiking, fishing, boating, swimming, biking, kayaking, paddle-boarding, wildlife watching, & exploring rugged beaches.
The space
***As per local zoning rules, there are no cooking appliances in the suite. Also, there is a futon style sofabed in the living room, a queen sized bed in the bedroom and a curtain in the doorway instead of a door to maintain an open feel to the space. The bathroom is also accessed through the bedroom***
The suite is just a short stroll away from Alder park and its kayak launch which provides access to the Ucluelet Harbour and is a gateway to Barkley Sound and the Broken Island Group.
There is a washing station on the patio for your sporting equipment with a hose, a tote, and a wooden fence to hang your wetsuits on and lean your boards and bikes against. I am regularly surfing, mountain biking and fishing and can provide local information.
Two free off-street parking spots are available and long enough for truck and boat trailer parking. We are a short walk from '52 Steps' government dock, where boat moorage is available on a first come - first serve basis for a fee.

During your stay, you will have private access to the suite, patio area and the two parking spots.
Other things to note
You may hear some moving about of the hosts and their dogs above, as well as harbour sounds, sea lion barks and eagle cries.
