"Second Place Iwai Kaigan" is a very convenient location, 7 minutes from the Sennan Toyama Interchange by Aqualine, and less than an hour and a half by car from Tokyo.

The space
The concept of the facility is "another everyday life"
Rather than enjoying the extraordinary or gorgeous resort feel, it is a moderately chic house for a workation with family or colleagues, or a building for spending time doing nothing in particular.
[About the facility]
Solid wood floors, white walls, and high, open ceilings. From the inner terrace on the second floor, which connects to the outside, you can enjoy the sunset over the Iwai coast and Mt. Fuji.
The dining room on the 2nd floor has a spacious large kitchen, and the terrace with a pergola on the 1st floor has a dining table, water, and a refrigerator, so you can also enjoy cooking outside.

We provide a set of BBQ stoves (for charcoal), nets, fire tongs, and unbreakable dishes for cooking. (Please bring your own food, condiments, charcoal, lighter, etc.)
To avoid disturbing the neighbors, the terrace is available until 9 pm.
There is no roof because the wind is strong by the sea. Have a great time indoors when it rains.
Please let us know if you are not using the BBQ stove.
We will deduct 5,000 yen from the accommodation fee for the day after check-out.
Bedding
We have 2 single beds, 2 bunk beds (single), and 2 single mattresses (urethane foam thickness 12 cm).
Guest access
You cannot enter the stock room at the back of the 2nd floor terrace or the separate storage shed.

About Check-in & Check-out
- Check-in time: 15:00-18:00 (Check-in after sunset is not possible)
- Check-out time: by 10 am
- We will give you check-in instructions via video call, so please help us by arriving as close to the scheduled time as possible.
- After sunset, there are no street lights, so you won't be able to find the facilities when it gets dark. Please arrive during daylight hours.
- If you would like early check-in or late check-out, please contact us at least 5 days in advance. (There is a separate fee.) Also, we may not be able to accommodate your request depending on availability.
- It is difficult to make adjustments by the hour, so we accept reservations by blocking the days before and after. The price is for half a day. Please check with me for details.
Parking space
There is parking for 4 cars (about 5 small to medium-sized cars).
The driveway in front is also a parking area for vehicles belonging to the Fisheries Cooperative and a walkway for local residents, so please park in a parallel line along the fence.
Smoking area
Absolutely no smoking inside. The 2F inner terrace is also non-smoking.
Smoking is allowed on the 1st floor terrace, and ashtrays are provided. Please dispose of cigarette butts properly.
Please be careful not to let smoke flow into the room.
[1F Outdoor Terrace]
- Please let us know in advance if you'd like to cook on the 1st floor outdoor terrace.
- We provide a BBQ stove (for charcoal), a grill net, fire tongs, and a set of durable tableware. (Please bring your own food, condiments, charcoal, lighter fluid, etc.)
- To avoid disturbing the neighbors, the terrace can be used until 9 pm, including the time to clean up.
- There is no roof because the wind is strong by the sea. Please have a great time indoors when it rains.
- You can use the campfire space. Please be very careful about using it safely and putting out the fire. The host is not responsible for any fires caused by the campfire, and we will charge for any damages caused by the fire.
- Please let us know if you will not be using the BBQ stove, etc. We will deduct 5,000 yen from the accommodation fee from the day after check-out.
2F Inner Terrace
- The shutters on the 2nd floor inner terrace can be opened.
- There is no window glass, and it is directly connected to the outside.
- Please keep an eye on small children as they can crawl under the fence installed on the terrace.
- Please close the shutters when you go out or when you check out.
- No fires (BBQ, smoking), no eating or drinking (attracts hawks and kites)
・ After sunset, a large number of insects will enter the terrace, so please close the shutters after sunset.
・ If left open, the roof may be blown away by a typhoon (the locals are still traumatized by last year's damage...)
[Trash]
Please help us sort the trash generated during your stay. In the past, burnable garbage, combustible garbage, bottles, cans, and PET bottles were thrown into the same bag, and the garbage collectors refused to collect them, so the purpose is to avoid such situations. We apologize for the inconvenience, but thank you for your understanding.
Bicycles
Feel free to use the bicycle.
The host is not responsible for any accidents while riding, so please be very careful when riding.
An air pump is provided, so please check the air pressure, brakes, etc. before use.
- Water supply
The water inside is tap water, but the outdoor hose is well water, so it is not drinkable.
[Creatures]
・ There are many insects, bees, spiders, and birds such as crows and buzzards because it is a rural town with mountains and the sea nearby. If you don't like them, we recommend that you avoid using the exterior lights as much as possible at night and make sure to open and close the screen doors frequently. There is also an insect repellent spray, and an insect-attracting light and high-voltage insect killer are installed on the 2nd floor indoor terrace.
About left-behind items
Since we operate without service staff, any food or small items left in the room will be disposed of during cleaning.
In the unlikely event that you leave behind a valuable item, please contact us immediately after check-out and before cleaning begins.
Other things to note
- If equipment is damaged, please contact us immediately. In the case of food spills or accidents that cannot be removed by cleaning the sofa cover, bed mattress, etc., we will charge the actual cost.
・ You may not use or stay with more than the number of people booked or the maximum capacity of the facility (a total of 6 people including infants). If we discover that you have misrepresented the number of people or that you have had visitors other than registered guests, we will charge an additional fee.
- No noise after 9 pm (loud voices, audio, etc.)
- The 1F outdoor terrace can be used until 9 pm
- Please consult with us regarding the delivery of luggage to the house, and specify a time during your reservation period when you will be present.
