ARCHITECTURE + LANDSCAPE
Fully renovated in 2020 & designed to perfection by a photographer / designer couple, this 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath modern sanctuary comfortably sleeps up to 8 people. The heart of the house is the soaring great room with 22ft vaulted ceilings that encompasses both the living & dining rooms. The living area has a custom wrap-around sofa that flanks the floor to ceiling wood-burning fireplace. A plush handmade beanbag chair from South Africa completes the living area, which includes an 75in samsung smart tv with cable. On the other side of the great room is the dining room, which has a farmhouse style table that comfortably seats 8 adults - offering both communal bench seating and modern wishbone chairs. An Isamu Noguchi pendant lamp gently overhangs the dining table. Stylish dining credenza completes the room, stocked with plenty of serving trays and all the outdoor dining accoutrements one could need for a large gathering. Continue through the dining room, towards the front of the house and you’ll find the fully loaded chefs kitchen, complete with granite countertops and top-of-the-line viking appliances (stove, fridge, dishwasher), and a farmhouse sink with a Barber Wilsons faucet. The kitchen is stocked with every modern appliance you will need. Sliding glass doors connect the interior to the generous outdoor deck, heated saltwater pool & hot tub area. Our home sits on a very private 1 acre lot, at the end of a cul-de-sac and down a 150ft long private driveway. There are two fantastic home offices, both with privacy.
SLEEPING + BATHING ACCOMMODATIONS
All 4 beds have brand new, top of the line memory foam mattresses, crisp white linens and down & down-alternative pillows & duvets. All bedrooms include blackout blinds, extra blankets and closet space. The master suite is located on the first floor, just off the great room. There is a king bed, home office, closet, and sliders that lead directly out to the private hot tub area and swimming pool. The en-suite marble bath is brand new as of summer 2020 and includes a massive 6x4ft walk-in shower with floor to ceiling jade zellige tiles (hand cut in Morocco), rain shower head & teak bench. There is a free-standing soaking tub, private toilet nook and modern vanity, with plenty of bath & beach towels. Additionally, on the first floor, there is a playful powder room with zellige Cle floor tiles and painted walls & ceiling in Benjamin Moore Tomato Cream Sauce. Head upstairs and there are 2 generous guest rooms on opposite ends of the house, with a large shared bath in between. Both upstairs rooms have 16ft tall vaulted ceilings. The first upstairs room has a king bed, 55in smart samsung tv, and the 2nd home office in the house. Walk down the balcony overlooking the great room and the 2nd upstairs guest room has 2 matching queen poster beds - upholstered in sapphire blue from Room & Board. This room sleeps 4 comfortably. The bedroom includes a generous closet, another samsung smart tv, and can also be used as a junior suite.
OUTDOOR LIVING
The property is set on 1 acre, perched on top of a hill and down a 150ft long private driveway with parking space for 4 cars. There is a wrap-around deck and pool patio that consists of 3 separate, yet adjoining outdoor entertaining space. The great room has sliders that lead onto the deck where you will find a 9ft long RH dining table with seating for 10 adults and a top-of-the-line Viking bbq gas grill. The dining area has 3 large cherry trees surrounding it which make for an incredible bloom during the spring. Continue towards the pool and there is an outdoor living room consisting of stylish couches and chairs, in addition to plenty of umbrellas to provide shade during the morning & afternoon sun. The pool area has 6 loungers, along with more umbrellas and the vintage Seafood neon sign that can be turned on at night. The sign was salvaged from a 1940’s seafood shop in Portland, Oregon. The heated saltwater pool has built in corner steps and is surrounded by lush landscaping, with flowering hydrangeas on 3 sides. Next to the pool, there is a poolside hammock zone flanked with blue stone and sand. Landscape lighting makes the pool area as well as the front of the house come alive at night. Walk past the hammock and you are brought to the private patio outside of the master bedroom, which has the 6 person hot tub, great in all 4 seasons. There is also a small side grassy yard not currently pictured.
*Please note that heating the pool is an extra charge. Pool heat can run anywhere from $50-$150/day depending on your desired temp and the current weather outside and time of year. Deposit needed in advance to turn on the pool heater.
**Pool closes mid/end of October and re-opens mid/early April (weather permitting).
*** The hot tub is open year round and is incredible during the cold weather months.
AMENITIES + ACCOUTREMENTS
The house is stocked with virtually everything you need for any season. We have 8 Tommy Bahama backpack style beach chairs with built in coolers, 2 umbrellas, beach towels, pool floats, great rainy day puzzles and games like Jenga & Cards Against Humanity, etc. There are three smart TVs in the house, one with cable. New washing machine + gas dryer in the basement. For outdoor activities, the house comes with 4 brand new, vintage-style beach cruisers for easy riding around town or to local bay beaches, along with a cornhole set & ping pong table kept in the basement. We have everything you could possibly need for a large family gathering or dinner party. In addition to all the kitchen essentials, we have a waffle iron, toaster, blender, mixer, Cuisinart drip coffee maker (coffee grounds included) as well as a N'espresso VERTUO machine (bring your own pods!), built-in wine rack and plenty of available pantry and counter storage. Should you wish to set the indoor or outdoor tables we have stylish placemats and modern dishware. Our commercial grade gas Viking stove top has 6 generous burners along with an above heating lamp shelf. Our sub-zero style Viking fridge/freezer is also quite large. We have 3 sonos speakers for fantastic surround sound throughout the entire home. Our home is a very hi-tech smart home with many things controllable through voice commands or a smart phone. For example, NEST thermostat (voice controlled), front door (guests are given personal codes and door can be locked/unlocked with voice commands), string lights on deck (voice activated), ceiling fans (voice) etc. and the landscape lighting at night surrounding entire property is on dusk to dawn settings.
For long term stays, we can deliver up to 2 kayaks to the house, along with life-vests of all sizes!
