Bedrooms have a TV in each so you can retire for the night and have a moment to yourself and recharge for your next adventure. The main living area is open so you sure won't miss any of those fun moments whether cooking in the kitchen, relaxing by the fireplace, or gaming at the dining room table. And lets not forget about the outside. Outdoor living is where its at here at "Your Next SpOTT". From the deck you can drift away viewing the beautiful mountain tops. The counter bar allows you to be apart of the firepit scene all from the deck. Enjoy outdoor meals at the bistro table or under the café lights at deck dining table. And maybe have some laughs together in the outdoor living areas including a single person hammock swing. My husband laughs because he is constantly loosing me as we both circle around the wrap around deck looking for each other...Marco? Polo!

Guest access
You have access to the entire living space of the property. Living space is one floor with a wrap around deck. You will have to climb stairs to gain access. Please enjoy the fenced in yard and feel free to exit out the back fence right into the Cherokee National Forest. Use the space all you want just leave nothing but footprints and take nothing but photos and memories! We have hammocks for you to hang out there if you like or bring your own tent for more fun. Part of the original Trail of Tears runs along our fence line and down an old road bed through the National Forest. Although it is a short trail, feel free to explore our back yard and beyond the gate.

Other things to note
The Cherokee National forest is Tennessee's only national forest. It is located in the Southern Appalachian mountains and is divided into northern and southern sections by the Great Smoky Mountains, it is the smoky mountains without the crowds. Most people don't realize that it is designated a rain forest, not your familiar tropical rain forest, but rather a temperate rainforest. So weather can change at any time and while it could be raining on one side of the mountain it might not be anywhere else...Pack accordingly and look for rainbows!!!! Also we are nestled in the forest so you will be staying in nature. Although we get our home treated for pest regularly, I'm sure bugs can't tell the difference between a wood house and a wood tree...all sound like good homes to them. We will not be issuing refunds for common bugs appearances. That being said, please tidy the kitchen and refrain from eating in bed. Snakes are also an important part of our environment. The Smokies are the salamander capital and we have plenty of them and toads too! We hear coyotes at night but not to worry as this SpOTT is fenced in. Some other cool sounds of the evening depending on the time of year are the Whippoorwills and our resident Barred Owl making his calls too. You are staying in a holler, meaning sound can travel further than you think, so please be mindful of your unseen neighbors.

My husband and I once found ourselves with 3 weeks of vacation time and no particular spot to be. After traveling down the east coast, we realized, there is so much of this country that we haven't seen. We sold everything, bought and RV and set off for the nomad life to discover all the spots we love to be. Serendipitously, we found a spot of paradise in the smoky mountains and bought a cabin. We can't wait to share all this beauty with you!
