Built with locally grown and processed hemp, this luxury holiday home is a first for Tasmania.

Set over two levels with a central timber staircase, guests experience truly unique accommodation, showcasing this incredibly versatile plant.

You sleep on premium hemp linen; use hemp bathroom products; sample hemp food and enjoy hemp spirits on the deck overlooking the D'Entrecasteaux Channel. Pets welcome + EV charger available.

The space
Set over two stunning levels, 'Sativa House' offers an open-plan kitchen/living room on the ground level, while upstairs there are two private, partitioned queen bedrooms. The beautiful bathroom offers a walk-in shower, toilet, and vanity and includes a laundry alcove with a combination washer/dryer. The deck has outdoor furniture and a barbecue. An EV Charger is located next to the parking bay for guest convenience.

Other things to note
While children are welcome, please be aware of the room/bedding configuration, and note that the internal staircase does not have safety gates.

Both queen beds are located upstairs and the bathroom and toilet is on ground level. These areas are accessible by a timber staircase, and this may not suit guests who need to use the facilities through the night, or who have mobility issues.

For groups larger than two guests, please note that while the bedrooms are completely visually private with lockable sliding doors, they ARE NOT completely soundproofed as the walls have an open slatted timber section at the top, and DO NOT have light-blocking black-out blinds.

If you have a larger group with a guest who requires the sofa bed in the lounge, note that this is a floor-level pull-out futon style best suited to younger visitors.

I'm a Tasmanian woman who returned home permanently in late 2019 after a decade of living in the USA. My ten years in Colorado plus a five-year stint living in London in my early 20s have left me with a great network of mates around the world who, in the past, I have visited with and hosted as often as possible. I kind of feel like I've been unofficially AirBnB'ing since before this service existed! While I've loved my years of travelling, and prior to COVID I used to do a lot of it for work and pleasure, I'm now having a break for a good while, so focusing my attention on hosting guests.
