Make yourself at home! You'll have full access to Sandy Toes Bungalow and the surrounding property during your stay.
If your group only needs one bedroom and bathroom suite, we may be able to lock off the second suite and offer a reduced rate. Just be sure to ask before finalizing your reservation, as this option cannot be added after booking.
The lake is just a short stroll away—about a two-minute walk along the designated path from the driveway. On calm evenings, gather around the backyard fire pit or head down to the lakeshore fire pit for a little extra lakefront magic. We provide a starter bundle of firewood to get you going.
A favor from Mother Nature: we're working hard to establish landscaping, so please avoid parking on grassy areas. Additional parking is available on the leaf-and-mulch-covered area beside the bungalow.
Bringing a Furry Friend?
We welcome ONE small dog (under 40 pounds). Think "lap dog," not "pony." Because we've only recently begun allowing pets, we ask that guests strictly follow this policy. If additional pets arrive without prior approval, you'll be asked to remove them or the reservation may be canceled.
The host lives next door and is available if you need assistance, recommendations, or have questions during your stay.
Housekeeping & Supplies
For shorter stays, guests are responsible for their own dishes, laundry, and day-to-day tidying.
Guests staying longer than two weeks receive complimentary light housekeeping once per month. This includes kitchen and bathroom cleaning and floor mopping. This service helps us keep the bungalow in excellent condition for everyone and is included as part of longer-term stays.
We provide starter supplies of essentials including toilet paper, paper towels, tissues, coffee, and a few other basics—enough to get you settled in for the first couple of days. After that, guests are responsible for replenishing supplies as needed.
All bed linens, bath towels, and beach towels are provided. If you plan to use tanning products, self-tanners, hair dyes, or anything likely to stain fabrics, we recommend bringing your own bath and bed linens just in case.
Scrapbookers, This One's for You!
If you're feeling creative, ask about Sandy's monthly Scrapbooking Workshop held next door. Workshops typically run from 9 AM to 5 PM on select Fridays or Saturdays and are free to attend.
Participants enjoy a day of crafting, conversation, and creativity. Beverages are provided, meals are ordered separately at each guest's expense, and attendees are invited to bring a favorite snack to share. Limited Creative Memories supplies may also be available for purchase.

We live next door and we will notice any unauthorized pets. My name is Sandy. I've lived on Swan Lake for 50 years We built The Lily Pad for my daughter and co-host, Becky, with the intention of allowing short term rentals while she is working. The cottage is 3 years old. I built Sandy Toes Bungalow for mid and short term rentals. They both have a view of the lake. I'm well traveled after years of doing home exchanges & I know what guests are looking for in a vacation destination. Hope to see you soon.
