Welcome to Saga Cabins, your base for exploring the Snæfellsnes peninsula.

Our cabins sit on a secluded peninsula surrounded by the ocean, with views of Snæfellsnes glacier, Eldborg crater, and private black sand beaches. Each cabin has a private hot tub, perfect for stargazing and watching the Northern Lights.

In winter, access is easy, as we clear snow with a snowblower or tractor as needed.

The space
Cozy cabin for a couple or two friends, with a private hot tub perfect for watching the northern lights.

Open-plan space with kitchenette, seating area, and two beds that can be joined as a double or kept separate.

Includes a private bathroom with shower, small foyer for coats and luggage, and a patio with your own spacious hot tub.

Guest access
Guests can explore black sand beaches that encircle the peninsula, turning golden at high tide and reaching the nearby islands.

This area of Snæfellsnes is rich in history, with grass covered Viking cairns, former island settlements once reached at low tide, and an old horse riding path that still circles the peninsula today.

Other things to note
For local tips on activities and sightseeing, please see our Guidebook.

There are three cabins on the property, side by side.

We share the property with our two friendly dogs, Rósi (Boxer) and Saga (Miniature Pinscher). They stay leashed around guests and are only let off-leash if you are comfortable.

The cabins are located on the end of a small peninsula in Snæfellsnes, with only the owner's house at the top of the hill. The only neighbour close by is a dairy farmer a few kilometers away. Your neighbours consist of ravens, eagles and occasional straying sheep during the summertime. The view consists of the ocean, islands in the distance, beautiful mountains, Snæfellsnes glacier, Eldborg crator and raw, untouched nature.
