Turkish cotton towels, organic cotton sheets, Temper-pedic king bed, fresh local coffee, farm fresh eggs, natural bathroom products, fast wifi, Roku tv, wrap around porch, driveway parking, grill & fire pit!

The space
Skip the ordinary Airbnb with our historic Rupp Loft! Named after the gentleman who saved this historic limestone house from demolition. The Rupp Loft has a King Temper-pedic mattress, and a full size pillow top mattress with medium firmness.

Sleep cool and refreshed with 100% organic cotton sheets. Turkish cotton towels are soft and supple yet dry quickly. All natural bathroom products for your use if you've forgotten your own. Note, the ceiling in the shower may be low for guests over 6ft.

Feel safe and secure with driveway parking. Log in to all your favorite streaming services with Roku tv. Stay cool or warm with in apartment air conditioning and heating. High speed WiFi for your needs.

We provide fresh local coffee, tea, creamer, and organic eggs from our hobby farm and basic cooking supplies. Locally made honey, when in season from the Farmer’s Market! Cold Brita filtered water and snacks. Enjoy the antique newspapers found during renovations and local art!

Enjoy your evening with the outdoor fire pit, the amazing wrap around front porch and charcoal grill. *All outdoor spaces are shared with the first floor apartment. To guarantee the fire pit or grill please book the entire house which is listed on Airbnb.

We also have laundry facilities in the basement that guests can utilize.

Guests may access the back stairwell, the basement laundry, The Rupp Loft, the backyard, the side driveway, the wrap around porch and the front yard. Please note that the basement laundry, backyard, front yard, and wrap around porch may be shared with other guests. Your apartment is completely private however.

Other things to note
QUIRKS OF THIS APARTMENT :

-This house was built in 1893. Although we have a modern kitchen and bathroom, we’ve taken care to restore it back to 1893. There are antiques and the floor creaks.

-This apartment is located on the second floor. There is a winding set of stairs to ascend to your apartment (see photos). There is one low spot in the ceiling if you are over 6ft, as you descend the staircase. Watch your head.

-We ask you take your shoes off to minimize traffic noise for the guests below you.

-The bathroom is small but functional. The shower ceiling may be low for those over 6ft.

-Please be aware that the laundry room is in a 120 year old basement. Although we have updated and renovated the home, some old home characteristics are still present.


PETS:

-PETS will be considered on a CASE BY CASE BASIS. There will be an added $30 a night fee, per pet, per night, if we accept your pet request. You must inquire about your pet before booking.

I'm obsessed with: old houses and animals
My husband and I love anything old or interesting. And enjoy sharing our historic properties with guests! We run a business called Restore and Clean, rehabilitate old houses - but when we aren't working, we enjoy playing with our three dogs, and hanging with our mini pigs, horses, donkeys, alpacas, chickens, ducks and geese. We live on the edge of Hays and can be to you within 5-10 minutes should you need anything during your stay.
