Beautiful area

This home is in a scenic location.
Some info has been automatically translated.
The stone cabins at Kastad farm are located undisturbed in fantastic natural surroundings.
The cabin in the røysa, like the other cabins, has stunning views of Mjøsa and Kastadtjernet. Here you can completely relax and wake up to a delicious breakfast basket with freshly baked croissants. Suitable for 2 persons. Røysa is one of 3 stone cabins on the farm. The other two are Skogen and Åkeren. All 3 cabins are so close that several couples can book together but so undisturbed that no one sees you! See more at steinhytter.no

The space
The stone cabin Røysa is idyllically located in the Røysa below Kastad Farm.

The cabin has no electricity, but is well equipped with candles and a fire pan + a small sink with running water and an outdoor toilet. From the cabin you can stroll down to Kastadtjernet for a lovely morning swim (when the ice is gone ;-).

Check-in at 3 pm and check-out by 12 pm.

You can stop at the farmyard when you arrive, and someone will show you down to the cabin. It is possible to drive a car all the way down.

The cabin is rented out with a ready-made double bed, towels, candles, matches, firewood and a fire pan. We will bring a breakfast basket whenever you want between 8 am and 10 am. Coffee and tea as well as some sweets are ready when you arrive.

If you want that little extra, we offer a 3-course dinner served in the cabin in the evening. You bring your own drinks. If you want to cook yourself, you bring what you want of barbecue food. Please note that cooking equipment is limited. We definitely recommend the 3-course dinner!

If you want to rent a rowboat at Kastadtjernet, we can offer this. In the cabin there are two fishing rods! Maybe you can grill the trout you caught yourself!

There are many nice hiking opportunities nearby. We recommend taking the trip to Ramberget which is located on a ridge north of Gjøvik, with stunning views of Mjøsa and Gjøvik city.

For other activities in the area, see the website of Visit Innlandet.

Otherwise, just enjoy the peace and quiet :)

Gourmet in beautiful surroundings, welcome to Kastad Gård. The farm was cognac producer Sverre Braastad's home in Norway and was designed by architect Arnstein Arneberg. The farm is owned and operated today by Patrick and Eva Braastad. The location is magnificent with an amazing view over Mjøsa and Kastadtjärn, 6 km north of Gjøvik. About the food experience at Braastad Experience Eyvind Hellstrøm was so excited that he wrote about it in his book when he got to taste Eva Braastad's ice cream with cognac, served with authentic history in cognac producer Sverre Braastad's summer place at Gjøvik. It is also so for Michelin chefs, that the taste is colored by the surroundings, people, and the experience there and then. This is exactly what Eva and Patrick Braastad are working on in Braastad Experience. Today, the couple has opened the magnificent space for both classes and conferences, weddings, and party days that deserve something extra. From the farm at 361 meters above sea level, guests have panoramic views of Mjøsa and Inland. And as mentioned, the food is in the very best hands of hosting.
