Rustic, solar bunkhouse - The Roost! Glamping at it's best.

Get away from it all in this simple bunkhouse made with recycled materials and wood siding from trees milled on site.

Large window, covered deck, outdoor seating and fire ring give you space to commune with nature.

With a full and twin mattresses, it is Bring Your Own Bedding so come with sheets, pillows and/or sleeping bag. The structure is heated. Private outhouse near-by, bring a flashlight.

Come immerse in this working farm

The space
Located about 19 miles south of Duluth, MN, our working farm (Locally Laid and Farm Lola) is 45 acres and has over 400 chickens seasonally from mid-April to mid-October.

During the summer, we operate the first US-based commercial honeyberry farm with a 10-acre honeyberry orchard that also includes strawberries and blueberries.

Leashed dogs are welcome October through mid-April with approval.

An outdoor rinsing station (think shower), potable well water, and a handwashing station is available in season (April-Oct.).

We offer at-cost gym passes $6 to the nearby Carlton Wellness and Fitness. There you can workout, enjoy a sauna and, of course, shower.

Local adventures include bike trails, Jay Cooke State Park, Lake Superior and Duluth.

Other things to note
This bunkhouse requires guests to bring their own bedding.
