The space
Perched on a scenic hillside above Kentucky Lake, ROC 'n Dock is a warm, open-concept 2-bedroom cabin designed for rest, romance, and real lake adventure. One bedroom features a king bed, the other two full-size beds — sleeping up to 6 guests comfortably.
The fully equipped kitchen is stocked with everything you'd actually need: quality appliances, sharp knives, dish soap, laundry detergent, garbage bags, salt and pepper, and Black Rifle Coffee — brewed with a reusable filter basket or pods. Creamer and sugar included. Brita-filtered water dispenser in the fridge. Local Tennessee honey and Sweet Dreams chamomile tea on the counter.
Towels, linens, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are all provided in refillable dispensers. The bathroom is stocked with the extras that matter — razors, toothpaste, Q-tips, cotton swabs, a first aid kit, and more. Games included for evenings in.
Outside, your covered private dock awaits — fish off it, tie up your boat, or just sit and watch Kentucky Lake do its thing. Boat slip and trailer parking available on property. Fire up the charcoal grill and smoker combo — complimentary charcoal included. Gather around the firepit with the starter bundle of firewood provided. Three kayaks — sit-in, sit-on, and tandem — with paddles and life vests are ready for your adventures. The club car golf cart makes getting up and down the hillside to the dock easy, fun, and a lot more convenient when you're hauling a cooler — for on-property use only, not for street use.
We clean exclusively with Young Living Thieves plant-based household products and run a diffuser throughout the cabin — no harsh chemicals, no synthetic fragrance residue. The entire cabin, screened porch, private dock, fire pit, and all outdoor areas are exclusively yours — no shared spaces. Your Schlage smart lock code will be sent prior to arrival for a seamless, self-check-in experience. The onsite shed is reserved for owner storage and is not accessible to guests.
Three kayaks (sit-in, sit-on, and tandem) with paddles and life vests, and the club car golf cart, are all available for guest use. The golf cart is for on property use only, age 16 and up, and is not permitted on public roads or streets. By booking, guests accept responsibility for the safe and reasonable use of the kayaks, golf cart, and dock. ROC 'n Dock is not responsible for accidents resulting from their use.
Other things to note
A local boat launch is just 3/10 of a mile away, with the main launch less than 4 miles from the cabin. TVA lowers the lake level in the fall, which may affect water depth near the dock. During this time, the boat launch 3.5 miles north of the cabin is a great alternative for putting in kayaks.
ROC 'n Dock is just 7.4 miles (about 12 minutes) from Sandy Creek Farms Event Center — a perfect home base for wedding guests and event attendees.
The town of Big Sandy is only 2 miles away with a grocery store, restaurants, ATM, and gas station all within easy reach. Dining options beyond town are approximately 25 minutes out — we recommend arriving stocked and settling in. That's the point.
Kentucky Lake is one of the top fisheries in the country — bass, crappie, and catfish are all on the menu. Fishing tournaments run throughout the season. Duck and deer hunting is popular in winter. Whether you're here for the water or the quiet, ROC 'n Dock delivers year-round.
