Firepit and wood stove:
Firewood is not provided; it is the guests' responsibility to supply their own firewood if they would like to use the firepit or wood stove. The wood stove is available upon request. It should not be used if there are high winds in the area. Firewood can be purchased at Bartlett's in Bay Roberts. Fire restrictions are implemented occasionally during dry summers. It is guests' responsibility to make themselves aware of fire restrictions, and to follow these restrictions accordingly.
Air conditioning:
There is no air conditioning. This is common in houses in rural Newfoundland. Fans are provided. There are numerous fans in the home.

Propane is supplied prior to your stay. If you run out of propane during your stay, it can be purchased at the Barlett's in Bay Roberts.
Water:
The water is supplied by the town supply and is safe to drink, unless otherwise noted by the town. It is guests' responsibility to check to the town page to ensure there are no boil water advisories.
Goodies and toiletries:
We supply coffee, tea, and candies. We occasionally supply local goods, such as local jams. We also supply soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc. These are meant to be used for the duration of your stay only. Please do not take entire boxes of coffee pods or entire bottles of shampoo, conditioner, soap etc. on your departure.
Snow clearance (winter rentals only):
Snow clearance is provided by local workers and will be arranged in the lead up to your stay, if there is snow. However, in the event of a storm, there are often numerous properties that need to be ploughed, and so do not expect that this property will be the first. During your stay, snow clearance can be arranged between the guests and a local service. Guests can contact the host, who will provide the phone number for a local snow clearance service.
