Riverfront log cabin with private Shenandoah River access. Pets stay free! Kayak, fish, float, swim, or just enjoy the view from the deck. Located 13 minutes from downtown Luray and 15 minutes from Shenandoah National Park. Sleeps up to 6 with 2 king bedrooms and a loft with a queen and twin bed. Includes Starlink Wi-Fi, Smart TVs, 2 fireplaces, and a firepit.
The space
The Rivers' Loft is a riverfront log cabin on the Shenandoah River with private river access right from the property. No pet fees and no extra guest fees.
The cabin sleeps up to 6 with 2 king bedrooms and a loft with a queen and twin bed. Spend the day kayaking, fishing, swimming, or floating the river, then enjoy the view from the deck or gather around the firepit at night.
The wraparound deck overlooks the river and mountains, ideal for morning coffee or dinner on the charcoal grill. Inside, the fully stocked kitchen includes an electric stove, oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, grill gear, and all the utensils and dishes you’ll need.
Guests have access to 5 kayaks, 1 canoe, 4 tubes, and plenty of life vests in all sizes. You can launch right from the property or drop in upriver and float back to the cabin. When you’re ready to explore, it’s just 13 minutes to Luray, home to the famous Caverns, an air-rope course, zoo, and dining. Shenandoah National Park is only 15 minutes away and offers hiking, scenic drives, and mountain views along Skyline Drive.
The cabin includes Starlink Wi-Fi, Roku smart TVs, books, board games, and a small smart TV in the loft. Cell service can be spotty, but Wi-Fi calling works well for most guests. On clear nights, the stars are hard to beat thanks to the lack of city lights.
Dogs stay free. We're dog people too, and your four-legged family members are welcome.
We're in the countryside, but you are not completely isolated. There are neighboring cabins nearby, so it's quiet and relaxing without feeling remote.
The main and secondary roads are paved, but the final stretch is gravel or packed dirt. Depending on the season, you may encounter dust, potholes, or a steep incline. A standard front-wheel-drive vehicle is fine, but low-profile cars and motorcycles aren’t recommended.
🚨 Weather Advisory:
In the event of a major snowstorm or flooding, the road to The Rivers’ Loft may be temporarily impassable. During snow, ice, or heavy rain, a four-wheel-drive vehicle or tire chains may be needed. We always recommend trip insurance just in case. If a major weather event makes the property inaccessible, we’re happy to work with you to reschedule.

Hi, I'm Tracy! My family and I have been coming to Luray for over 15 years, and somewhere along the way it became our favorite place to get away. We bought The Rivers' Loft as a place to slow down, enjoy the river, and spend time together, and now we get to share it with others too. When we're not at the cabin, we love to travel, so we know how much the little details matter. We hope you enjoy the slower pace here and make some great memories along the way!
