River Rise Cottage is set up to offer a relaxing and enjoyable experience to make lasting memories.
The cottage has large windows with outstanding river views and a walk around deck that you can fish from.
Should it rain, you can enjoy the sound of the rain on the metal roof. Several feet from the cottage is a screened porch overlooking the scenic river, with comfortable seating and a daybed perfect for napping.
From this location It's not uncommon to see wildlife, deer, wild pigs, bobcats, squirrels, gators, manatees, turtles and otters. It’s a great spot for bird watchers as bald eagles, hawks, woodpeckers, and many other species can be seen.
A wonderful place to enjoy your morning coffee or unwind in the evening bug free.
Take a swing on the open porch, sit riverside at either the propane fire pit or have a campfire (firewood provided) which is also along the river nestled in the woods.
We encourage guests to use the outdoor seating areas for the ultimate relaxation experience and to find your favorite spot!

Also available a full-size fridge located on the screened porch in addition to the mini fridge in the cottage.
We are now offering fresh made ,all natural smoothies. 10 different smoothie options to choose from ,made with real fruit / fresh greens . Smoothie orders can be placed / coordinated for your desired time to enjoy a refreshing summer treat .
My husband and I live full time in the main house, which is not attached to the cottage. We respect our guests privacy and our interaction is catered to each guests preference.
Guest access
Bring your boat ! Large open deck with ladder access to the floating dock which is perfect for mooring your boat or launching kayaks. Kayaks are available for guest use at your convenience. (2) single person (1) fishing single person and (1) two-person tandem kayaks with life vest. We also offer a complimentary shuttle service for the 5-mile downstream Aucilla River to the Gulf of Mexico . This can be scheduled after your check-in. Use of the kayaks are at your "own risk" with no host liability. Camp chairs are provided and can be used at the fire pit and along the riverbank. A public boat ramp is located within 300 yards. We have ample storage for you boat trailer during your stay.
Other things to note
Our guests enjoy cooking riverside using the propane grill, propane provided. A crockpot, electric skillet, and blender are also available to guest upon request to be used at outdoor sink area. There is a full size frig located on the screened porch in addition to the mini frig in cottage. There is a propane fire pit on the north deck area and a wood fire pit south of the cottage, firewood is provided.
House rules for children staying at the cottage.
We gladly accept children with the understanding that all children thirteen and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times outside the cottage due to its proximity over the river and being in a natural wildlife environment. This is a strict requirement that will be compulsory. This is for the safety of your children while staying at River Rise Cottage.
We are pet friendly but do require that your pets are not left alone in the cottage. We have different size crates available, and these are provided at no extra charge in the event that you should leave the cottage and choose not to take your fur baby with you. There is a $50 non-refundable pet deposit fee for 1 -2 pets.
A guest’s animal must not be:
Out of control
Unhouse broken.
Left alone at the listing without prior approval.
Allowed into areas that are considered unauthorized to the guest.
Allowed in a public space without being harnessed, leashed, or tethered and not under the guest’s control.

Kayaks are available at no charge for guests use at your convenience and Michael offers a complimentary kayak shuttle for the Aucilla River, the shuttle can be scheduled after your check in.
