Unique and stylish river house just feet away from the South Branch of the Potomac River. This retreat combines the wild and wonderful nature and scenery of West Virginia with the all the modern comforts of home. The fully equipped kitchen, fast and reliable wifi, laundry room, hot tub, outdoor shower, fire pit, scenic views and more will make this a wonderful experience for you and friends and family. Less than five minutes from a Walmart Super Center and Moorefield, WV restaurants.

The space
This is a 4 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom house, with a spacious open layout that includes the fully equipped kitchen, living room and dining room. The river can be seen from the all spaces in the main area. There is a laundry room with washer and dryer. The fourth bedroom is combined into a playroom and tv room with two sets of bunk beds. The house has outdoor decks facing the river on both levels. It has a hot tub and an outdoor shower (weather permitting). There is an outdoor dining area with a grill that gives guests great views of the river and comfortable shade for sunny days. There is also an assortment of board and card games to enjoy.

Access to the river: There is direct access to the river from the backyard of the property. However, access is difficult and requires climbing down a few medium-to-large sized rocks. There is a public river access site a short distance from the house (1-2 minutes).

Guest access
Guests at the River House can access the entire property with the exception of the owners closets located in the downstairs hallway. These closets are locked with an electronic key lock. All of the property associated with this house is to be used exclusively on premises and not to be removed.

Neighborhood highlights

Moorefield, WV is a charming small town in the heart of the wild and wonderful mountain state of West Virginia. It has a population of approx 2,500 with a few captivating restaurants and local shops that are worth a visit. There is a Walmart Super Center about three minutes away by car from the river house. There are also several hiking trails with varying levels of difficulty within a 30 minute drive. The house is less than 30 minutes from one of WV most beautiful kayaking and canoeing spots - the Trough. Information about rentals for the Trough can be found through Calleva. Breezewood Adventures also provide kayak and canoe rentals closer to the river house.
