The space
The River Bend Treehouse is an off-the-grid accommodation located on a private 48 acre island on the Waccamaw River, we take you to the island on our pontoon boat (there is no road to the island). The treehouse measures in at a whopping 1,000 square feet of indoor & outdoor covered space! The upper floor is 12 feet off the ground and features 400 sq ft living space that includes 2 bedrooms. As you walk out the front door you will be greeted by four rocking chairs on the deck between two massive trees (one oak & one pine) that the 200 sq ft deck is built around.
Venture down the stairs to discover the 400 sq ft covered first level that includes a cooking area with a Blackstone griddle, propane burner stove, sink with a tank of water, cutting board, cooking utensils and a large picnic table.
Leaving the lower deck you can explore the expansive river bank or step down into the bistro lit outdoor seating area with chairs, firepit and games.
This treehouse is best suited for children that are 10 years and older due to the remote location and accessiblity of the treehouse 12 feet off the ground.
