Extra spacious

Guests love this home’s spaciousness for a comfortable stay.
The River Bend Treehouse is more than a place to stay, it is a destination that you will not soon forget. Whether you choose to paddle down in a kayak or ride our pontoon shuttle to the private 48 acre island you will be captivated by the experience. Be sure to take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to spend the night in this beautifully designed TREEHOUSE on an ISLAND surrounded by NATURE on the Waccamaw River just outside of North Myrtle Beach.

The space
The River Bend Treehouse is an off-the-grid accommodation located on a private 48 acre island on the Waccamaw River, we take you to the island on our pontoon boat (there is no road to the island). The treehouse measures in at a whopping 1,000 square feet of indoor & outdoor covered space! The upper floor is 12 feet off the ground and features 400 sq ft living space that includes 2 bedrooms. As you walk out the front door you will be greeted by four rocking chairs on the deck between two massive trees (one oak & one pine) that the 200 sq ft deck is built around.

Venture down the stairs to discover the 400 sq ft covered first level that includes a cooking area with a Blackstone griddle, propane burner stove, sink with a tank of water, cutting board, cooking utensils and a large picnic table.
Leaving the lower deck you can explore the expansive river bank or step down into the bistro lit outdoor seating area with chairs, firepit and games.

This treehouse is best suited for children that are 10 years and older due to the remote location and accessiblity of the treehouse 12 feet off the ground.

Off Grid Amenities include:
Cooking: there is a Blackstone flat top griddle/grill on the downstairs deck along with two burners and propane & cooking utensils provided.
Food Storage: no fridge, we provide you with a large ice chest filled with ice and we can bring down more ice once a day (if needed)
Water: there is a sink outside downstairs to wash dishes using the 5 gallon water containger. There is also a water dispenser inside the treehouse that dispenses hot, cold and room temperature water (powered by the generator)
Restroom: there is a composting toilet along with a sink that pumps water from a 5 gallon water tank
Shower: there is not a shower at the treehouse but we have hot showers at our Outpost a half mile up river
Power: there is solar power for the lights and charging devices and a generator to run an air conditioner, heater, water dispenser, coffee maker and/or microwave (when needed)
Beds: there is a queen size bed and twin size loft bed in each bedroom (sheets are provided)

FREE KAYAKING included with your stay. There will be kayaks waiting at the Treehouse when you arrive, you are welcome to explore the river on your own as much as you would like during your stay.

Guest access
When you arrive to our 1 acre Outpost we will transport you and your belongings a half mile down river to the island which is only accessible by boat. We provide you with one free pontoon shuttle to and from the island daily and you also have the option of paddling some kayaks down to the island to use during your stay.
On the island you will discover a covered stage with seating area (for concerts, shows & game nights), Tiki Snack Shack (open for special events), hammocks, swings, a small zip line and yard games: cornhole, horseshoes, ladder golf, ring toss, etc.

Pack light, you just need some food and clothes for a fun couple nights in a treehouse on an island!
