Welcome to our luxury safari tent escape nestled in the forest!
This private retreat is tucked into the forest canopy and is perfect for those who are seeking a unique, private and sustainable camping experience. Indulge in the awe-inspiring views, savor the fresh forest air and create lasting memories in this enchanting sanctuary.
Riverbend is a hideaway from the stresses of everyday living yet close to some of the most beautiful national attractions of the country!
The space
Riverbend is perfect for couples and nature lovers wishing to escape the busy hotels and resorts for their own slice of forest and privacy.
Lay in a hammock under a canopy of stars, absorb the aroma of a crackling fire, watch for wildlife or listen to the distant sound of the babbling river.
Our large safari tent offers its guests a comforting modern design, including a king-size bed with amazing views of a majestic forest vista.
This space offers its own natural wood burning fireplace for those cool nights, electricity and clean running water on your site for your convenience.
* Water will be turned off to the site (including the heated shower) during signs of frost/freeze of the season. (Typically October to May)
Steps away you will find a private outdoor kitchen which is stocked with all the essentials, allowing you to prepare your meals with ease.
Designated privacy parking, and a short walk to your site. Cart is provided.
PRIME LOCATION
Situated on 15 private acres bordering crown land. A retreat beyond a shared gated driveway, surrounded by wildlife, and located almost exactly between the world class destinations of Jasper National Park and the City of Edmonton. The landscape consists of primarily boreal forest, lakes, and rivers.
Wildlife native to the area include bear, cougar, moose, elk, deer, wolf, coyote, fox, rabbit and a wide variety of avian and aquatic life.
Recreational experiences galore close by includes Fishing, horseback trail rides, golf, skiing, hiking, biking, kayaking, river floating, canoeing, paddle boarding, snowshoeing, snowmobiling and OHV fun!

COZY WOOD FIREPLACE/OUTDOOR FIRE PIT
Get a feeling of warmth from the indoor fireplace. Take a peaceful moment with your companion or by yourself by the fire to unwind for a more restorative night's sleep.
Hand split firewood harvested from the property is stocked for your stay. Located in order to keep dry under the right hand side of deck behind the tarp.
SWIM BEACH/SWIMMING POOL
Drive right up onto the River rock/sand beach at the McLeod River. 20 mins away. Community pool just a 5 min drive away.

Cleanliness is top priority. The grounds are pristine. The Tent is spotless.
HASSLE-FREE PARKING
You will have access to your own personal and private parking space a short walk away from your accommodations which is guided by a clear path with solar lighting as you approach your site.

What better way to elevate your day with a morning that starts with a cup of coffee surrounded by fresh pine. You are starting to rise with the sun, stirring for a classic breakfast, a cup of coffee in hand to compliment the crisp morning.
There is something about sitting by a fire pit and crafting up some of that good camping fuel.
INDOOR AND OUTDOOR DINING
As you step onto the site, you'll be greeted by breathtaking views of the surrounding natural beauty.
Enjoy your BBQ creations at the outdoor grill and seating area, where you can dine amidst the sounds of nature. After dinner, roast your marshmallows around the fire pit or simply enjoy the evening.
Spaces are available both inside and outside in order to prep and share meals and memorable experiences.
Two coolers are provided. One cooler is pre-chilled for your convenience. One bag of ice and ice jug is complimentary.
INDOOR/OUTDOOR GAMES
Indoor/outdoor games are provided.
ASSESSABILITY:
You will be in the forest, therefore there is walk down a path. It is also at our guest’s own discretion and risk to enter into the river on site and/or cross into the adjacent crown land.
The safari tent, outhouse and heated shower is elevated and requires being able to do steps.

Hosts reside on the property so may be able to assist if needed.

Feel like you're splurging with high thread-count 100 % cotton white bed linens and soft 100% cotton luxury-brand towels. The pillows are plentiful. You'll get the needed rest for a fun-filled day ahead. Step out of that hot shower and relax in the hammock or fireside.
PARABEN-FREE TOILETRIES & DETERGENT
Our sites include environmentally and sensitivity friendly, paraben-free toiletries; dish soup, face wash, hand soap, body wash, shampoo and conditioner. (May - Oct due to frost or freezing)
The detergent used to launder the towels and bedding is fragrance-free.
For bathing, we offer a charming shower space on site.
Immerse yourself in nature while enjoying a hot shower, and rest assured that our outdoor facilities maintain our commitment to protect nature.

We will advise which sections could be temporarily restricted due to occupancy.

We believe in the honor system and trust your space will be treated with care. We are dedicated to address any questions or concerns you may have during your stay.
Please keep in mind that you are still in a wilderness and natural setting - You will need to be aware and prepared to timeshare with nearby wildlife and adapt to weather shifts.
A friendly added reminder that pets are not allowed.
Guests will be asked to leave immediately if pet is known to be on site. Pet cleaning fees of $250 will apply if it is apparent pet was on site at checkout.
