You will love waking up to the sight of magnificent Gir cows and their little calves running around against the backdrop of Aravali Hills. The serenity of the land and its bountiful produce is sure to make you extend your stay for a few more meals and sunsets at Rituras, Jaipur.

The space
The space is part of our family owned project called- “Rituras” (Experiencing the Seasons). It’s a slice of our traditional, self sustained lifestyle with the Cow as its centre. The structures here are built with natural, breathable materials like Mud, Limestone and other local stones. Our gaushala currently houses 4 Gir Cows and 3 young calves. A host of birds of the Nahargarh Forest Reserve greet us everyday from across the Aravalis.

Food and Supplies :

There are plenty of dry spices, condiments, local grains, fresh milk and ghee from the gaushala. Apart from a regular gas stove, the kitchen is equipped to run on biofuel with cow-dung cakes made throughout the year at the property. Guests are welcome to harvest and cook by themselves. Alternatively, meals can be ordered through local delivery apps or a specially curated local meal can be requested in advance. The food provided at the property is simple, wholesome, seasonal and vegetarian.

While we do not have Air Conditioning in the place to try and maintain the sustainability of the place, the rooms are equipped with desert coolers to help combat the summer heat.

The built environment of the property, as an endeavour, has been consciously woven with the Natural environment of the land. You might find squirrels, ants, birds and other local fauna sharing the space. Their harmless co-existence will only cheer up your day if you manage to spot them. Let us know if you come across a rare species, we’ll try our luck too!

Power cuts, although rare, are possible in which case we have emergency lights available at the stay!

Thank-you so much for accommodating our desire to keep the property substance/alcohol free.

Neighborhood highlights

Our place is purposely simple, next to the city, but not quite there. The village is usually quiet, except for occasional weddings and social events which tend to be loud just like any other Indian rural setting.
This is your chance to adopt a regular lifestyle of the rural locals- where by itself thrives a living, breathing, unique culture. Find out how comfortable you can be, simply.
