A firepit is a delightful way to enjoy evening relaxation under the stars (BYO wood).
The space
There is a basic kitchenette with a fridge/freezer, butane burners, microwave, sink and a flush loo with a five star view!!
“The Oasis” is on solar power, but you’ll have enough to run all you need.
The outdoor shower (hot water) will be a welcome refresh at the end of a day after fossicking and exploring all the attractions of the Ridge opal fields. The fire pit is sure to delight all for evening relaxation under the stars.
A large flat screen TV is available in the ‘shed’ if admiring the stars gets too much!
We supply organic cotton linen and towels, doonas and pillows in the Oasis. In the Cabana there are 2 single camping beds with sleeping bags, inner sheet and pillows!
Staying at the Oasis will be a wonderful experience, the perfect place to explore the mining fields of Lightning Ridge.
The famous Artesian Bore Baths (free and open 24/7) are a short drive or long stroll away.
The private firepit is a wonderful way to enjoy the serenity and the night sky and afternoon sundowners. Wood is available to purchase locally, ask us for the contact!
Other things to note
We have a 2 night minimum stay but highly recommend a 3 night minimum (ideally 5 -7 nights) so you have time to relax, enjoy the slower Ridge time and still experience all the delights Lightning Ridge and the surrounding opal fields have to offer! You will have driven a long way to get here so you might as well make the most of it!

Neighborhood highlights
The Ridge Castle is located on Simms Hill. The highest point of Lightning Ridge. The views are excellent. The famous artesian bore baths are less than 2km away. They are free, open 24/7 and a must do.
To access the Ridge Castle, it is approximately 2km from town and there is approximately 1km of rocky dirt road. Take care driving in low cars, it is all weather, so fully accessible even when raining.
The Oasis (part of the kingdom of the Ridge Castle) is surrounded by mining claims. Though shafts are always meant to be covered, we do ask you to take particular care if wandering about. Other attractions nearby include Amigo's Castle, The Black Queen and The Observatory. We can point out a few other local attractions as well. There are many.

We firmly believe this part of Australia is exceptional with national parks, waterways and beaches to rival any worldwide. We hope you enjoy it here to.
