Perfect for families, couples, & solo travelers.
The space
Our home was originally built as a grain barn for a neighboring farm and later converted into a cozy living space by its previous owner. Since purchasing it in 1993, we’ve added our own personal touches, making it a place full of warmth, character, and creativity.
Your private guest house is structurally connected to our home, but rest assured—there’s no shared access, giving you complete privacy to relax and unwind. Surrounded by open fields and breathtaking sunrises, this peaceful getaway offers a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. Whether you're here for a quiet escape, an inspiring stay, or just passing through, we hope you’ll feel right at home.
Guest access
You’ll have full access to the entire guest house and front parking during your stay. If you’re a smoker, we kindly ask that you follow the smoking guidelines outlined in our house manual.
For those who love creativity, we invite you to take a stroll to the Art Studio in the back, where you can watch metal art come to life! Our on-site artist is always crafting something unique, and you're welcome to observe the process—it’s a one-of-a-kind experience that makes staying here extra special.

My work: MetalSculptor/Artist
I'm obsessed with: Creating sculptures from reclaimed metal
I’m Richard, a metal artist whose journey began after the loss of my son in 2008, I turned to welding in an artistic way as a form of therapy during those sleepless nights. This led to a healing journey of creativity. Many of my pieces are displayed throughout Wauseon & I also have public art all over the USA. When I’m not in the studio, you’ll find me cruising on my motorcycle with my wife Sue. Nothing better than the open road!
