The space
Immerse yourself in a unique experience of connection with nature. This bungalow, inspired by Indonesian architecture, is an invitation to rest and contemplation. Made with eucalyptus wood and crowned by a piassava roof, the space combines rusticity and beauty in perfect harmony.
At dawn, sunlight passes through the hand-painted stained glass windows, projecting a spectacle of colors across the floor. Outside, nature reveals itself in its purest form: a natural pool of crystal clear, chlorine-free water invites you for an invigorating dip. The surrounding wooden deck is the ideal setting for a picnic, a glass of wine at dusk, or simply the pleasure of doing nothing.
Here, the birdsong is the awakening and the silence of the forest, the
soundtrack. Don't be surprised to find insects and wild animals - after all, this is their home, and you are a special guest.

- The Natural Pool (the greatest treasure of the Mokum Refuge): In the center of this paradise, the natural pool is a true invitation to contemplation and relaxation. Its crystal clear, chlorine-free waters flow in perfect harmony with the surrounding forest, forming small waterfalls whose soft sounds lull like a song of nature, so relaxing that it is easy to imagine yourself falling asleep beside it. Around the pool, a wooden deck embraces the space, equipped with sun loungers and comfortable chairs that invite moments of rest under the sun. The beach around the pool offers a unique space to relax your feet in the fine sand, while the cool breeze of the forest caresses your skin. Every detail is designed so that you can indulge in the pleasure of serenity, whether reading a book, having a glass of wine or simply letting time pass.
- Landscaping and Green Areas: Refúgio Mokum has a carefully renovated landscape, with a large green area of soft grass that extends around the bungalow. This wide and natural space is perfect for light exercise or simply feeling the freshness and contact with the earth under your feet.
- Gourmet Area and Barbecue: for gastronomic moments, the gourmet area is a charm in itself. Built with rough stone, the barbecue and everything around it keeps the temperature pleasant thanks to the natural thermal comfort of the stone, while the wooden counters bring a rustic and cozy touch. It is the ideal space to prepare a special barbecue, share laughter, and create memories in the midst of nature.
- Swing for the Dawn: and for those who like to start the day in tune with nature, a comfortable swing is strategically positioned so that you can contemplate the sunrise, feeling the cool breeze and listening to the awakening of the forest around you.

- Pit fire: Mokum's pitfire was built in the shape of a compass rose, bringing an extra charm to the nights outdoors. It is the ideal place to light the outdoor fireplace, sit around the fire, roast marshmallows, play a guitar, and enjoy the night in a simple and cozy way. A space to spend more time outside, chat unhurriedly, and feel the pleasant climate of the forest even after the sun sets.
- Hot air balloon show: with a little luck, you can see the famous hot air balloons of Pirenópolis flying over the bungalow, a colorful show that turns the sky into a real live painting.
- Magical sunrise and sunset: the sunrise and sunset here are true spectacles of nature. Among these events you can have the pleasure of witnessing the flight of Canindé macaws, announced by the sound of their calls as they cross the sky in a flock.
- Maria, Eduarda and Maduzinha: on the beach around the natural pool, you may come across three special visitors. A family of storks that live visiting the Mokum Refuge. Recently, Maria and Eduarda had a baby, and just like all of them, it was named in honor of our daughter, calling itself a combination of the names in diminutive, Maduzinha.
- Equipped kitchen: the bungalow has a full kitchen with the essentials so that you can prepare your own meals.
- Delivery partnership: even in the middle of the woods, you don't have to give up practicality. We have delivery partnerships that deliver pizza, açaí, hamburgers, drinks, charcoal, ice, snacks, and other options directly to the Mokum Refuge.
- Illuminated paths: the bungalow has illuminated paths that allow for walks both during the day and at night. Experience walking on the stars and feeling the connection with nature.
- Sustainability in essence: every detail in the Mokum Refuge was designed with environmental responsibility. The eucalyptus wood used in the construction comes from reforestation, the bathroom and landscaping stones are from quarry waste, and the pillar lamps were made with bamboo, among other sustainable materials.
Important notes:
- Exclusively for adults: this is a retreat space for those who want to relax and disconnect, so it is highly not recommended for children, the elderly, or people with mobility issues, as access to the bungalow includes rustic stairs and stones in some accesses.
- Wild environment: once again the bungalow is immersed in a wilderness area, and it is common to find insects and wild animals, which are part of the natural beauty of the place.
- Pets: Pets are currently not allowed in the bungalow. We are developing a project to receive furry friends in a safe and comfortable way in the future. Thank you for your understanding and patience as we work to make this experience possible.
- Extra guests: The maximum capacity of people that the bungalow supports is up to 4 people, so if you want to invite someone else, it will be possible, but an extra fee per person will be charged.
