Welcome to Fishtail Cottage, Your Home away from Home - a cozy pet-friendly family retreat just minutes from Pymatuning Lake.
Enjoy fishing, kayaking, biking, hiking, and feeding the fish at the famous Linesville Spillway. Explore local restaurants, breweries, wineries, and meaderies, then unwind by the fire pit or wood stove.
Lovingly renovated by our family with handcrafted touches, it's the perfect place to relax and make lasting memories.
The space
Fishtail Cottage is a cozy and thoughtfully designed 2-bedroom, 1-bath getaway created for couples, families, friends, remote workers, and even your four-legged companions.
Bedroom 1 – Queen Suite
This room features a comfortable queen-size bed with a baby-proof bedside rail available for families traveling with little ones. A baby crawling mat is stored underneath the bed if needed. You’ll also find a Roku TV, dresser, and space to settle in and feel at home.
Bedroom 2 – Twin Room + Workspace
The second bedroom includes two twin beds that can be converted into a king-size bed upon request. Guests have access to a dresser, closet with hangers, extra comforters, and a queen-size folding mattress for additional guests. This room also includes a cozy hammock and a dedicated workspace—just bring your laptop and you’re ready to work remotely.
Bathroom
The cottage has a full bathroom with a shower/tub combination and complimentary toiletries for your stay.
Living & Entertainment
Enjoy free Wi‑Fi, smart TVs, board games, a large Connect Four game, and cornhole (stored under the sunroom couch) for indoor and outdoor fun.
Sunroom & Coffee Corner
Start your mornings at the coffee and tea station or relax in the sunroom hammock. The breakfast table for two is the perfect spot for coffee, conversation, or planning the day’s adventure.
Outdoor Space
The outdoor fire pit area includes seating for up to six guests, creating a perfect place for evening stories, stargazing, and making memories. An extra hanging hammock is available to use near the fire pit for an even more relaxing experience.
We’ve put a lot of time, care, and DIY love into every detail of Fishtail Cottage, and we hope it feels less like a rental and more like a home away from home.

We have posted safety guide and instructions on how to use the wood stove. If you need any help, PLEASE reach out and we would be happy to assist so we can ensure maximum comfort for your stay!
Well System:
Tucked into nature means we run on a private well system, just like most homes around the lake. Day-to-day use feels seamless, though running several water features at once may cause a short, natural dip in pressure. Also, please run the water (especially the hot water) for few minutes as soon as you check in - to make sure the sulphur smell passes through.
Drinking Water::
Like most homes in the Pymatuning area, our cottage is supplied by private well water rather than city water.
To keep our water system clean and well maintained, we perform a routine well shock treatment each year. While the water is safe for everyday use such as bathing, cooking, and brushing your teeth, our family personally prefers to drink bottled or gallon water instead of well water.
If you're not accustomed to well water or prefer not to drink it because of its natural taste, we strongly recommend bringing bottled drinking water with you.
To help you get settled in, we've provided complimentary bottled water for your arrival. If you need more during your stay, the nearest place to purchase bottled water is Dollar General, located just 2.4 miles from the cottage.
Pests & Insects:
Please be aware that the property is surrounded by woods, the lake near by, and areas of standing water. Therefore, you may encounter various types of pests. While we take reasonable preventative measures to keep them away from the cottage, you should plan accordingly ( bug spray and protection for your pets)
