Live life in PRadise in our penthouse villa that sleeps 12! Roam the Wyndham resort grounds, riding to the beach, golf, and restaurants in your very own golf cart. Come home to amazing ocean and resort views from high up on the hill. Relax and unwind with the whole family (and friends) in the comfort of this spacious villa, where the open floorplan, high ceilings, and indoor/outdoor flow are perfectly suited for entertaining.

The space
We lovingly dubbed our villa PRadise Hill because of its prime location atop the resort's tallest hill, offering sweeping ocean and resort views. While actually a penthouse condo apartment, the villa has the spacious feel of a house (2300 sqft and 12-18ft cathedral ceilings).

Cluster 7 (Vistas del Cacique) is the newest condo complex located within the Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Beach Resort. It is located on the highest point of the resort, surrounded by private homes.

The Villa's Community pool is directly across from the property. A short and fun 5 minute drive with the complimentary golf cart will take you to the beach.

The primary bedroom suite has a king-sized bed, a day-bed, an ensuite bathroom, and desk space (bring your own laptop). The kids' bedroom has two full-over-full bunk beds. A third bedroom has two full-sized beds and ensuite bathroom. The fourth bedroom has a queen-sized bed and ensuite bathroom. A fourth full bathroom is in the hall, around the corner from the kids' room.

The villa is equipped with all the amenities you'll need for a wonderful vacation. Some of those include:

* Complimentary Golf Cart so you can explore the Resort grounds, and go to the beach in style (signed waiver will be required in advance to receive keys; max occupancy of 4 riders at a time, please!)
* Air-conditioned rooms
* Ceiling fans in all areas
* HD smart TVs in all bedrooms and in the living room, ready for you to connect to your preferred streaming service (BYO streaming service).
* 500 MB Wi-Fi internet house-wide connection
* Desk in the primary bed for your convenience (BYO computer)
* Weber Spirit propane grill on the balcony for your enjoyment
* Fully equipped kitchen with all the appliances you can think of
* Wine fridge in the kitchen
* In-unit washer and dryer
* Whole house automatic emergency diesel generator and water cistern - you'll never be unexpectedly without water or electric! (Very important, as power outages are commonplace in the Island!)
* 3 designated parking spaces in front of the building - two available for your vehicles, one for the PRadise Hill golf cart

Note: The Villa Owner’s beach club has recently transitioned to limit guest access to only those accompanied by an owner or member, so this amenity is unfortunately no longer available to unaccompanied renters anywhere in Rio Mar.

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire villa, with the exception of an owner's supply closet in the primary bedroom (locked).

The apartment is on the building's top floor - which requires walking up one flight of stairs from the ground (parking) level - 18 steps total. There is no elevator.

Guests also have access to the community (Cluster 7) swimming pool, located right in front of the unit with a gazebo and swirling tub. ***Note: The Villa Owner’s beach club (near beach and hole 16) has recently transitioned to limit guest access to only those accompanied by an owner or member, so this amenity is unfortunately no longer available to unaccompanied renters anywhere in Rio Mar.***

All Hotel amenities such as the Hotel beach (free), bars, Casino, restaurants, etc., are available, pay as you go.

The only amenities that are off-limits are the Hotel pool and gym.

There are golf and tennis/pickleball facilities, check with pro shops or Concierge for day pass pricing.

Even so, please contact the Wyndham Rio Mar Concierge for availability, as changing health mandates could impact their policies.

Where you’ll be

Mameyes II, Río Grande, Puerto Rico

500 acres of everything you desire to live the ultimate Caribbean escape awaits. Executive Chef Jan Pfeiffer delivers a culinary experience at the Hotel's superb restaurants and lounges satisfying every appetite and epicurean palate. The Hotel's Concierge will help you book a variety of watersports, excursions, fitness center, Peter Burwash’s International Tennis Center and Golf Courses designed by champions Tom and George Fazio and Greg Norman (special rates for guests!). Soak in relaxation on a mile of secluded beach or at the Villa Owner's oceanfront swimming pool, or head into the exclusive Mandara Spa. Go all in at the 7,000-square-foot casino or direct your indulgences to several specialty shops.

You are right across the road from the Caribbean National Forest, the only tropical rain forest in the national parks system. There are great hiking trails to waterfalls, tropical plants, orchids, beautiful views and more as you walk or drive through this tropical paradise.

A short drive to snorkeling, scuba diving, sailing, blue-flag beaches, kayaking, fishing, championship golf courses, horseback riding, ATV, paintball, and the Fajardo bio-luminescent bay (one of five in the world). If you feel adventurous, take a $5 per person round trip ferry ride to Culebra Island and Flamenco Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in the world according to Conde Nast's Traveler magazine, or book a full service sailing expedition with one of the many Catamaran outfits out of nearby Fajardo.

If you want to indulge in the local culinary scene, your options are extensive. In the immediate vicinity of the resort, both Carretera 3 (the main road you arrived on) and Rd 955 (parallel to 3, just crossing the main traffic light on 3), are chock-full of restaurants of all varieties - brunch, smoothies, pizza, panaderias (bakeries with savory offerings), and so much more.

The famed Luquillo "kioskos" are just under a 10 min drive and offer ~80 casual, beach-side dining establishments where you can enjoy myriad local foods such as the "pastelillos" (pastries/turnovers), BBQ Pork, pizza, "frituras" (an unexpected plethora of fritters), and sea food galore - from whole cooked fish to ceviche and octopus salad, to the famous "Mofongo Relleno" (a flavorful fried and mashed plantain hollowed out and filled with seafood)! Try the local french fries called 'Tostones' which are twice fried, smashed plantains...they can be habit forming. Follow in Anthony Bourdain's foodie footsteps and give these casual establishments a visit.

Feeling a bit more adventurous, ask us for a recommendation to one of the many spectacular criollo food restaurants nestled in the nearby mountains - the views are breathtaking!

Old San Juan and world-class restaurants, museums, convention center and event facilities are a very managable 30-45 minute drive away. Puerto Rico is famous for the Rum made on the island and you can't miss the tours of rum distilleries in San Juan and in Ponce. Go explore!
