Extra spacious

Guests love this home’s spaciousness for a comfortable stay.
Sea Ranch Style 6-bedroom home on 80 peaceful acres. A serene and completely private property for you and your group to enjoy. This unique property has easy access directly into downtown Point Arena as well as the nearby 22,000 acres of cliffside trails at the Stornetta National Monument. You'll enjoy a rustic cedar farmhouse with large open kitchen, wood-burning stove, design library, backyard fire-pit, outdoor shower/bath, and your own private pond with canoe. Magical memorable energy awaits.

The space
This is a glorious home full of light and a special place to us. It's rustic, nicely appointed, but simple. A good place to sit by the fire at night, enjoy a meal in the backyard with your family, take in the stars, hang out in the canoe, or enjoy a full moon stroll through a field.

You'll be all alone on the property, feeling very rural and peaceful. Yet, at the same time, we're adjacent to town so you can easily pop down to the pier to get a pizza or go fishing, see a movie at the historic theater, or get groceries at the co-op.

If you walk for 15 min (or 3 min drive) you'll be at the trailhead to the coastal bluffs and can run, bike, or walk along the ocean and see glorious sunsets, whales, and hunt for mushrooms. At the same time there are several sandy beaches within a 15 min drive of the property.

We're also next door to Point Arena High School, so you can use the soccer/football fields, basketball hoop, or tennis court in the afternoons or weekends.

My partner and I ran an artist residency here for 6 years pre-pandemic and lived here full time for a few years. We're currently renting it out a good part of the year, but spend time here working on the property, doing projects and hosting friends.

The Farmhouse has 5 bedrooms. A library/office is connected as part of the primary suite and can be used as a bedroom extension with the sofa bed or mattress pads, depending on your guest count and desired accommodations.

One bedroom has 2 twin beds and a trundle under one of them, so 3 twin beds total if you need. If you have more than 11 guests in your group we will discuss the sleeping arrangements that will work for you so we can get things setup nicely for you.

We have a new pack-n-play for infants/young ones if you need it.

There are 2 full bathrooms upstairs. one of them is within the primary suite, but the bedroom door can be closed to allow access to that bathroom for others if you want. Downstairs there is a half bathroom, and there is an outdoor bath and shower off the back deck downstairs.

for 2-3 months of the year (usually February and march) we have a small herd of beautiful cows enjoying the property munching the grass. They are away from the house and have never caused problems for guests. We'll loop you in on more info if your stay will overlap with theirs.

Guest access
Full private access to the property to roam around, explore, lay in the hammocks, or out in a field... generally have a good time. :-)

Other things to note
Please confirm your guest count on the booking matches the actual number of people who will be staying over so we can get the pricing correct and accommodate your group.

If you wish to host a larger gathering, camping could be a possibility for up to ~40 people for additional fees. Feel free to reach out about hosting event with us.

My work: Social Print Studio
I'm a designer, occasional artist, & now ➡️ an Airbnb host! I founded a photo printing company called Social Print Studio, which I still run as my day job. Long ago, I actually interviewed to work at Airbnb, but ended up heading to grad school for an MFA. For the time being I split time between Seattle and the SF Bay area.
