Welcome to my A-Frame cabin in the heart of the central cascade mountains! Relax and reset after a day of exploring the beautiful surroundings.
Originally built in 1967 and thoughtfully remodeled in 2023/24. The house features a bright open floor plan that blends modern comfort with it's original rustic cedar charm. With the dedication of many skilled people and myself, this labor-of-love remodel project took over a year to complete. I’m excited to share it with you! :)
The space
This is my home that I live in part-time. I'm continuously working on making it as comfortable and great as possible.
The cabin has a newly remodeled layout with two levels and two fully enclosed private bedrooms. The main entrance opens into a full kitchen, dining area, and cozy living room. There is a spacious bathroom with a roomy shower (big enough for two) and washer/dryer. Newly custom widened stairs provide easy access to the two upstairs bedrooms. Each bedroom is identical in size and have queen sized mattresses.
Outside:
Private hot tub (in the back of the home) surrounded by trees. The home is in within a community, so the neighbors are fairly close by. There is enough separation to have privacy, yet you won't feel too secluded or isolated. The newly built wood panels on the deck help keep the hot tub private. The home sits on .25 acres with a fire pit setup in the back, ready to add firewood (usually provided in the shed). I will let you know when there is a burn ban. The front deck gets a ton of sunlight in the warmer months.
Highlights:
* Private hot tub (fits 4) professionally cleaned after every stay
* Dog friendly (I love them) extra cleaning (I have a hepa vacuum) after every pup visit
* Fast Starlink wifi / Roku TV with all streaming apps
* Coffee, tea, hot cocoa, & snacks always provided

LOCATION:
Conveniently located in a quiet community minutes off of Hwy 2. The home is on a cul-de-sac street, so no through traffic. The whole community is backed by National Forest.
A 20 minute drive directly east will bring you straight into the Bavarian-German town of Leavenworth. A 20 minute drive west takes you to Steven's Pass ski resort for downhill skiing & snowboarding in the winter and a mountain bike park in the summer.
In the cute town of Plain (just about 10 min. from the cabin) every Saturday morning from May to October, there is our local Farmer's market.
RECREATION:
Local options are plentiful in the area! It's really a mecca for outdoor adventures in every season. Lake Wenatchee state park is just a 5 minute drive from the cabin.
Summer: kayaking and paddle boarding (rentals are directly at the lake), tons of hiking trails - from family-friendly walking paths near the lake to challenging backcountry trails and a variety of intermediate options in between. There's also: mountain biking (& e-bike rentals), white water rafting, tubing, fishing, zip lines, horseback riding, golfing... so much! Something for everyone!
Winter: snowshoeing and cross-country skiing are just minutes from the cabin. There are over 14 miles of groomed trails for classic and skate-skiing that range from easy to difficult. A rental shop is conveniently located in Plain, where you could even sign up for a lesson. There is also a vast network of snowmobile trails in the area, with day rental options. Ice fishing access is also available at Fish lake.
Fall and spring months are a great time to enjoy a lot of these activities as well, with less congestion. The spring wildflowers are beautiful to spot, and the fall colors accompany Oktoberfest and the start of the the holiday season. There's never a shortage of activities and events in town for all ages and interests!
