Plimmer Bolthole is your sanctuary after exploring all Wellington has on offer. It’s a place to rest and reset, providing you a momentary disconnect from the busy city life right outside its walls.

Situated in the heart of the CBD, this artisan designed, curated accommodation offers you so much more than a bed for the night. Everything is within easy walking distance. You're perfectly positioned to enjoy Wellington’s culinary scene and landmark areas like the Cable Car, Cuba St and waterfront.

The space
A top floor apartment in a 106 year old Edwardian building, the space boasts original Matai floors, 3m+ ceilings and the original sash windows.
The kitchen has everything you could need from brewing your morning favorite, to preparing a quiet meal in.
Plimmer Bolthole is a uniquely designed space, layered in texture, colour and character. Enjoy the styled collection of artworks, antique furniture, books, brass details, tactile fabrics and deep seating. This is a space designed to exhale and slow.
The bedroom - with floor length heavy velvet curtains, a custom made four poster king bed, deep with luxurious linen - is a room made for a good night’s sleep after a busy day of city explorations.

There is no TV provided. We do have unlimited Wifi so please bring a laptop and snuggle into bed to stream your favourites. There’s plenty of reading material and a Bluetooth speaker to help you really set the mood.

Guest access
You will have our apartment to yourself, part of a charming Edwardian building consisting of nine apartments. Plimmer Bolthole is located on the top floor – level two.

Other things to note
Please note, Plimmer Bolthole is not suitable for children or pets due to the delicate nature of its' furnishings and the shared aspect of the building.

Keep in mind Plimmer Bolthole is a true city apartment. The neighbours in the other apartments are long term or owner occupied so please be respectful.

We are located on Plimmer Steps, and as the name suggests, there are steps so you must be able-bodied.

You won’t need a car, you can walk absolutely everywhere and if you do decide to explore further, you can hop onto public transport, just up the street from us.

We do not directly have a carpark, however there are many parking blocks near us – the closest is backing the building opposite us! All the details you need to know regarding city parking we have walked through for you. If you’re in town to sample all the culinary delights Wellington has to offer, we doubt you’ll use your car the entire stay!

You could not get more central in Wellington. We are so close to best eateries, amazing coffee and many of Wellingtons landmarks are a short stroll such as the Cable Car, Parliament Beehive, Cuba Street, Te Papa Museum and the waterfront just to name a few!
