The space
The complex is the first that have been built in the area. For this reason, compared to other nearby complexes, the buildings are at a generous distance between each other so to give a better sense of open spaces.
90% of the apartments are 2nd homes or vacation homes. During the most of the year you'll meet very few neighbours, making the place the perfect spot for a relaxing brake from work.
Our apartment is at ground level and the grass in front becomes an extension of our deck, all the way 'til the beach.
In breezy days you can enjoy the restoring wind by opening both front and rear door, allowing the breeze to travel across the apartment.

Guest access
When you book Playa&Yunque, you are booking the whole apartment: 2 bedrooms (1 queen bed and 1 bunk bed), 2 Bathrooms, 1 fully equipped kitchen and the living/dining area. In front, overlooking the ocean, you can relax and/or eat in the porch.
We offer, at no extra cost, 1 private parking space.

Other things to note
IMPORTANT NOTE:
If you are traveling to Puerto Rico, we are sure you are aware that the island suffered extreme damages due to HURRICANE MARIA. One of the big issues is the instability of power on the island. Half of the country is still undergoing the longest black out in US history. Our apartment is in an area where electricity has been restored. Still, it may happen that the power goes off for one or few hours usually due to ongoing works. We have no control over it and can’t give any notice in davance as we don’t receive it either.
Power generators are not allowed in the complex. So, if the light goes, the light goes and it’s just a matter of patience, it will come back.
When booking our place, you accept that any cancellation due to general power issues will be ruled by our cancellation policy.

Born in the 70s
Where I went to school: Bournemouth, UK: BA Potography degree
Once upon a time, during the inaugural trip of a cruise ship in the Adriatic Sea there was an on-board Italian photographer who met a young and beautiful Puerto Rican passenger. It was summer 2000. The rest of their story tells about Carmen studying industrial design and living in Florence, Italy, while Stefano was studying photography and living in Bournemouth, England. They got married in 2003 in the middle of the Puerto Rican Rain Forest “El Yunque” in a 14 crazy hours wedding party. They moved to Milan, Italy where they lived for three years. Carmen was still studying and Stefano working as a photographer. In 2007 they moved to San Juan, en La Isla Del Encanto and gave birth to their son. Since then they have lived in the “Las Virtudes” apartment, had their daughter and Stefano from photography got into woodworking. In 2013/14 they moved back to Milan. In August 2014 they decided to return to the island to start yet again the Caribbean adventure.
