Step back in time at the Shady Rest Hotel at Petticoat Junction, part of the Turn Back Time cabins at Southern Tier Stables in beautiful Moravia, New York.

Just a few minutes’ drive from Fillmore Glen State Park, this quaint cabin in the woods sleeps 4 in twin-size bunk beds. The cabin has a small table and 2 chairs, and a pond outside the door. A step above tent camping, but not quite glamping, this location is perfect for getting away from technology and reconnecting with nature.

The space
Enjoy walking the nature trails during your stay, sitting by the pond, having a campfire or just relax in a quiet peaceful atmosphere!

Activities include hiking over 100 acres of beautiful trails on the stable land and the adjacent Summer Hill State Forest, bird watching, visiting the many gorges and waterfalls within a hour’s dive, or booking a trail ride at the stable.

Guest access
- Dogs are welcome, but must be cleaned up after
- Low wattage electricity in the cabin for a fan (provided) or small space heater (not provided)
- Bring your cooler to keep food cold and cook over an open flame in the fire ring
- Picnic table outside
- A portable restroom with wash station is a short walk away and is shared with the neighboring cabin
- A full bathroom with a shower is located in the horse stable, a 10 minute hike from the cabin
- Wifi is available at the stable
- The pond on the property is available for catch and release fishing
- Firewood can be found in the surrounding forest

Other things to note
You are welcome to walk around and see the horses, we just ask that you refrain from feeding them as they have sensitive stomachs.

You are NOT permitted to go into any of the fenced in areas with the horses under any circumstances.
