There is no wifi and no microwave. Only guests who will respect my beloved home please. No lake access.

The space
The house is a stylishly decorated cozy cabin with an open layout.
Close to Alley Creek Rec area, Johnson Creek, Hurricane creek. All three have great boat ramps. Johnson's creek has a great swim beach.

Close to two different public hunting areas, which are also great for hiking.

Close to historic Jefferson which has all kinds of great special events, antiquing, historic homes, bayou tour, tour house of the four seasons, historic museum, the best BBQ, board walk on the bayou, civil war reenactments, and more. Close to Caddo Lake which is great for paddling, taking a tour, sightseeing, a scenic dinner out at Riverbed restaurant, and more.
Put in the Kayaks or Canoes at Back Water Jacks for $3 per boat and follow signage for Texas paddling trails through big cypress bayou, this is just past Jefferson. Or keep going to Johnson's Ranch Marina and explore Caddo Lake. Rent kayaks at Ole mossey's or book a boat tour there.

The night sky in East Texas is gorgeous!

Everyone loves feeding our deer. Throw out some corn when you arrive, and they will come running.

Enjoy evenings on the huge covered front porch sofa with the Christmas lights on, the fan to keep you cool, and the sound of the insects. Feel free to bring the extra quilt out and snuggle up in cool weather!

Whole property is yours to use. Park your boat in my driveway as needed. Feel free to use my two kayaks, one canoe, and 2 paddle boards in the shed. Set up and play cornhole, use lawn chairs, fire pit, put out the deer corn. Use any condiments or food that's there. Make yourself at home.

Other things to note
I recommend bringing sunscreen during the summer, and insect spray year around. We are in the woods by the lake, there will be bugs! Bring starter fluid and a lighter if you plan on having a campfire, we have plenty of wood.
