The space
The house is on three floors. Downstairs there is a large three bed room and a bathroom with shower. Heading down three stone steps there is a summer kitchen and a further single bedroom . The summer kitchen opens out to a terrace and an enclosed garden with mature shrubs and a lawn.
The middle floor has a large hallway, from which leads a spacious well-equipped kitchen, dining room, utility room, two double bedrooms, a second bathroom with bath and shower and a balcony with an outdoor seating area.
The top floor has a large modern lounge with wifi TV Firestick, Netflix etc. french TV. This opens out onto a second large balcony which has an outdoor eating area which comfortably seats 8 people as well as a barbecue and swing chair. The balconies and garden all have beautiful south facing mountain and castle views. There are nearby rock pools you can swim in, castles, rafting, climbing, village fetes etc.

All rooms described above are accessible. The bedding cupboard in the main hall and a lock up accessed from the bottom floor are not accesible.

Other things to note
Small children will need to be supervised at all times on stairs and balconies. If you have children who are likely to climb fences, run through door windows or squeeze between railings this property is not suitable. Please check out the pictures of the balcony and rooms before booking.
Avoid bare feet in the property as guests sometimes break glasses. Please use plastic glasses in the garden area. There may be a pool outside in the garden which may or may not be useable, but Children would still need to be closely surpervised by an adult in this area. There is a security camera on the outside fornt door but no cameras inside. No bike, E scooter or EV charging. EV charging is available at the fire station car park.

Neighborhood highlights

Lapradelle-Puilaurens is really three villages in one. With bars, restaurants and a shop/cafe. The house itself being in Lavagnac situated on the other side of the viaduct from Lapradelle. Easy access from Carcassone airport 60 mins and Perpiganan airport 45mins both drives are very scenic. There are many Cathar castles nearby not least Puilaurens castle which takes about 40mins to walk up to and also stunning mountain views. Axat is one stop away on the "red train" form Lapradelle station or a 10 min drive, and the towns of Quillan, and Saint Paul 20 mins away by car. The Mediterranean coast is easily accessible by car driving east down a long mountain valley past Queribus castle on the mountain top.
