Welcome to "Palafito El Astillero" ("the Red Palafito") a unique house on stilts, located in the exclusive "barrio Gamboa" in Castro, Chiloé. Also located close to the city center.

The space
Palafito El Astillero, is one of the few architecturally original palafitos in the Gamboa neighbourhood. The interior was renovated by the host in 2021-22. It includes a double bed, private bathroom, kitchen, a living area with beautiful views of the Gamboa Fjord and a huge terrace. Guests will find themselves in a relaxed atmosphere, without television. Checkout my other Palafito called "Palafito Amarillo".

Guest access
Guest will have access to the ground floor. The second floor is empty and will not have any guest. So you will be by yourself in the palafito.

We can also provide you with information on how to book a boat tour which will take you on the west side of the island.
