The Room:
The cabin is like a nest in a tree so that you can enjoy a relaxing country experience plum in the core of Classical Old Calcutta !
You will enjoy your stay immensely if you enjoy nature & the Cabin is like your camp with all modern facilities . It is completely different from a traditional boxed in hotel room . You have a treetop level view of the Largest park of Kolkata.
There are two levels of the room with the Lower level having a writing table,storage space and the washroom & the upper level has the bed and the Sundeck and has windows with a unique 270 degree view to enjoy fabulous views of the city . The cabin is a challenging creative design built in the tiny house concept.
The decor of the room is a mixture of traditional handwoven materials from rural artisans and an open skies design with plenty of natural light and sun. There is a private sundeck & also a mini library. There is lots of space in the adjacent terrace which is frequented by various birds and. Walk out of your room onto a green terrace & an unhindered expanse of greenery !

Both the Owl's Nest cabins are unconventional from traditional rooms & is designed with lots of passion in the tiny house concept . Best for enjoying Nature in bustling Calcutta just a 5 minutes walk from the nearest Metro/Subway station. If you love Nature ,this is an experience you will not get in the heart of Kolkata !
Terrace: The terrace is a shared space with the adjacent room.

Stairs : We are on the 5th Floor and we do not have an elevator in the building like all buildings of the period . However a walk up the stairs will do a lot of good for your heart , other than the gorgeous views you can enjoy : )
Meals: A large number of eating options are available around the house. You may also order food from outside.

Location: Another attractive part of this listing is its unique location.Please look up Shyambazar on Wikipedia. This is the 'Real Kolkata' as many of our guests described it. Walk the alleyways all around us or take a walk to the Ganges for a Ferry ride or just enjoy the aritsan's village of Kumartuli- you can do it like a local from here.

The birthplace of Rabindranath Tagore the first Nobel laureate of Asia and Swami Vivekananda the sage who took India to the West are both around 2 kms from the house- because this was where Kolkata was born!!
