Although we are not associated with the park, our home is located next to Rough River Dam State Resort Park.

Conveniently situated in the heart of the Rough River Lake area, our home is just 2 hours from Nashville, 2 hours from Lexington, 1.5 hours from Louisville, 1 hour from Elizabethtown, Owensboro, and Bowling Green.
With so much nearby, you’ll have endless day trip options including visits to Holiday World, Mammoth Cave, Churchill Downs, Lost River Cave, the National Corvette Museum, Smothers Park, the Louisville Zoo, and the Louisville Science Museum.

Guest access
The guest has access to the whole house and our property. The little house is not part of the rental. It is the owner's shed. However, the side of the little house on the left has firewood. That is yours to use for the firepit.
Other things to note
During the off season at Rough River Lake, some local restaurants may be closed during the week. We recommend checking their pages or calling ahead to make sure they are open. Little Daves (approximately 10 minutes away) maintains the most operating hours out of all the local restaurants. They also deliver sometimes.
There are no alcohol sales on Sunday at Rough River Lake. However, Leitchfield sales alcohol from 12pm-6pm on Sunday.
Many local businesses close at 8:00pm. Please plan accordingly if you are arriving later in the evening.

House Rules and Safety
Ring Doorbell: Monitors outdoor motion (no cameras indoors).
Pets: Due to allergies, pets are not allowed. There is a $500 cleaning fee for violations.
Wildlife: Our home is in a rural, lakefront area, so bugs and wildlife may be present. We have equipped the exterior with amber lighting to minimize bug interaction if possible, and pest deterrents.
Safety Alert: The backyard ends at a cliff overlooking the lake, with no direct access. We’ve installed safety gates on both sides of the deck and near the hot tub. Always supervise children, and keep the hot tub strapped when not in use.
Parking & Boat Access
There’s parking for up to 6 cars at the house, and boat owners will find space for at least one boat (possibly two, depending on size) with outdoor outlets for charging.
The home is cliff lined with no direct access to the lake. There are safety signs.
