Guest access
This Holiday Home bungalow is located on State Highway 4, at Owhango Village (corner of SH4 & Owhango Rd).
There is plenty of parking - on our own gravel private carparking area next to the garage, and on the street in front of the property.

Guest Access is simply by unlocking a key lockbox.

Other things to note
This is an extraordinarily unique property, with its gorgeous rich art-deco decor full of authentic historic memorabilia and an impressive attention to detail ... you are stepping back a hundred years (but with all the mod cons).

THE OLD POST OFFICE LODGE Holiday Home is especially perfect for groups of singles/couples, corporate retreats, and multi-generational extended families wanting 5-star mid to high-end accom rich with character and nice finishing touches.

TRAINS & TRUCKS TRAFFIC NOISE & VIBRATIONS:
Post Offices of course were traditionally always built on main roads, which have oftentimes over the past century turned into main highways. Being on the corner of Ōwhango Rd and State Highway 4, there is traffic noise, so anyone who is a light sleeper may wish to wear ear-plugs. However, most guests don't experience problematic issues with the highway traffic noise.

Also, because Ōwhango Village is entirely built on volcanic pumice rock, the whole Village vibrates when trains pass through (and it has done for more than a century). Many guests love the sound and vibration of the trains passing ... like being part of your own 1920s Agatha Christie novel!
We do hope you will all enjoy embracing this authentically Owhango experience.
